Sony to Turn a Profit on PS3s from August?

Nikko Citigroup expects Sony to begin generating profit from PlayStation 3 units in August.

Analysts at the wholesale investment bank upgraded Sony's rating on Monday, engadget reports, noting that the platform holder will from August no longer be making a loss on each system sold. The website says that profit-making PS3s would likely feature sub-65nm cell processors, sub-90nm RSX graphics chips, or both, since the smaller chips are cheaper to manufacturer.

profit my ass. They can turn a profit and watch the XBOX 360 penetrate everyones household.

They need another price cut soon, it's just a price war between PS3 and 360.

360 already struck first in Europe.

and to think with even the 360 price cut in EU...the PS3 is still outselling it....

well if they start making a summer...expect a huge price cut for the fall....which is good news either way...
