MMGN: The 2DS is an interesting prospect. It doesn’t match up to the 3DS XL, but it is much cheaper and will slot into the three-pronged product lineup as an entry level option that could be huge, or a massive flop. By removing the 3D functionality and replacing the recognisable clamshell with a more durable flat design, the 2DS has its sights set on a younger generation of burgeoning gamers that just might be able to convince their parents to take the plunge now that the hottest catalogue of handheld games is accessible for $150.
