I have decided that this is the one game I'm getting launch day.

Trust me, you will love it to death. It was by far the most realistic beautiful environment game I saw/played at PAX. I mean mind blowing how far consoles have come when it came to very small details and realism. No more loading screens, go anywhere in the world, 100+ hours of game play, a TON of upgrades for yourself and your ship. The largest map I've seen in a awhile as well. So So So So worth the Pre order.

100+ hours of gameplay? Interesting, if it is true.

I have heard so far that the main story is 25-30hrs. It would be really nice if they have worthwhile missions to go beyond main story line. I mean I don't just wanna keep fishing sharks for another 70+hr.

yes, there are a few of us on this site that find out every bit of information about something there is to know. This would be the game I have researched deeply. I can answer most anything thrown my way. Most not known about because you'd have to watch every video interview and read most every interview.

Sounds good. I'm pretty much coming in fresh to the series with Black Flag. Do I need to do some reading or YouTube watching to get into the story or can I just jump in with Black Flag?
Also, how parkour heavy is Black Flag? This is the main reason I never could get into the series. I don't mind some climbing & platforming but running amuck on rooftops most of the game isn't my style.

With every numbered game in AC. Comes a whole new saga with a new story, new Assassin. So you can jump in this with no issue at all.

Different from all other AC games, this one is 50% water and 50% land. The land part is made up of 3 major cities and large jungles, under water caves, etc.

The water is made up of 50 major Islands and 75 mini Islands. All with content of discovery. So this is where the game becomes larger then life. There underwater diving at ship wrecks, deep sea hunting for whales, sharks, killer whales, etc. All with separate game play values.

The water/ocean is so incredulity realistic. The graphics and game play is so very fluid. There are no more loading screens as everything is seamless.

The naval battles are so intense. Certain ships have certain trademarks in battle. Like taking on a massive 100 cannon Man of War ship. You'll hear drum sounds coming from it. It was said to strike fear into the other ships. While other ships will have horns, etc. Everything is very realistic.

Other cool game play adds are. Say you are out in the ocean somewhere and you find a rare animal ( White Whale ). Or you come across a Royal Convey fleet of ships ( They carry tons of gold and travel out of normal shipping lanes to reach their destination ). Those items will be marked on your map. Now, every friend you have on your friends list who has AC4. When they go to play the game, those same items will come up on their map and they can head straight for them. But it is time market. So last only like a few days. So the single player acts with your friends.

There's a mobile app that lets you play with your single player game when you are away from the console. You can send ships from your fleet out on missions to take over objectives to earn gold and items. Much like past AC games where you sent Assassin's out on missions.

Just on and on.....
