YouTube Technology Helps Google Police Porn

Google has adapted an existing program in a bid to track files containing child pornography.

The software, which was originally created by the search engine to block copyrighted videos from being posted on its YouTube site, is now being used by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) to identify and remove files containing child sex abuse.

In the past year alone, the NCMEC has investigated over five million child sex abuse images and videos. Google hopes the software will make it easier and quicker to sort through the files.

People are forgeting that Child Pornography is anything that is under 18. Yet the legal age as an adult is 21 in most parts of the world. To decrease child porn and to punish the sick bast@rds that look at it, make the legal age for porn 25 or something, that way it will be easier to spot out who is partaking in child porn. Porn is useless, its just meant for those l0sers who never get laid and think that sex is everything that it is portrayed to be in porn, its not, ban all porn and that'll solve a lot of problems

The legal age is most countries is 18 not 21. In a lot of European countries the legal sexual age is 15.

Making anything under 25 child porn is the stupidest thing I have ever hear. It may be hard to see if a person is 18 or 16. But it's way harder to see if a person is 25 or 23. Ergo making child pornographi harder to spot. And there is nothing wrong with being turned on by a 20 year old is there.

What he doesn't realize is that this is part of tech and PC section. With the recent chat i had with administrator Dusty it was clear to him that the submission content benefited the site and perhaps the ad revenue. The change to submission brought varied stories to N4G which made him very happy and in turn led contributors to find more than gaming related stories (reaching towards tech stories) to remain in the top 10. I will now request for boldy's sanction as he seem to not understand the guidelines, rules and clearly the benefits of the tech section.

Being a 15 year old, I often get slightly exasperated because I find it really hard to like young people, because they're all out getting pissed and smoking and I'm confident that quite a substantial portion of child porn will be self-submitted. Nowadays, every group of girls takes photos of themselves and then on Saturday nights they go out in their mini-skirts and their skinny jeans and they go out, get drunk and end up giving some random guy a blowjob. Somewhere along the line, those two things will be combined. I know of two thirteen-year old girls at my school who took photos of each other naked in the shower masturbating. One of them also gave three guys handjobs in the cinema (in ONE film) in a game of "Nervous".

I think that REALLY, that's a bigger issue. It may be less extreme, but it's MUCH more common and needs dealt with.

i remember reading an article where a guy video taped raping a woman and putting it on youtube. how dumb can you be to a) rape someone and b) put it online for all to see? it has no place in society and im glad youtube is doing something about it. porn is good ;) but not on a website that kids can find it.
