As this generation draws to a close and we examine the PS3, it seems many lifelong PlayStation fans aren't ready to name it "the best ever." But why?
While the mainstream media always sees things turning in favor of the hero, here are 6 games that own being a bad guy.
Pretty much all of these games listed are based around a morality system you don't have to be bad and you don't have to be good.
It seems to have left out some real amazing games like red dead redemption 1/2,ass effect and true crime la/ny
Armored Core VI?
Ok, I'm really missing something here. Just beat chapter 3 earlier this evening, unlocked A-rank Arena fights. I'm not seeing or sensing any branching paths or morality system and I've done every side mission and arena fight available to me up to that fight.
Is something big coming soon to branch the story?
Video games are no longer just a simple past time. Today's games are evolving into true works of art. Offering intriguing narratives, cinematic setpieces, and profound messages, games can entertain us for hundreds of hours.
I never got around to mass effect - I’m skeptical that it would hold up if I were to try it now
Originally launched in 2011, El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron is coming to Nintendo Switch, so It's time to look back at the original.
Still have my ps3 copies. Bought it at launch and another one when I found it cheap and in perfect condition about 10 years ago. I wouldn’t buy it on Switch but if they made a PS5 version I would. I still have one of my PS3 Fats hooked up so good to go either way.
Id play it again on the switch. I wished my 360 version was bc but this is still a good way to play.
- Introduced and established Blu-Ray
- Swappable, non-proprietary HDDs
- At one time the user could use LinuxOS
- Early models were BC
- Contributed to cancer research through Folding@Home
- Introduced HOME
- Set the standard for a "free online console" and no hidden paywalls
- Heavenly Sword, MGS4, WarHawk, Gran Turismo 5, SOCOM 4, Infamous', Uncharteds, Killzones, Resistances, LBP's, Demon Souls, Journey, TLOU, Heavy Rain, Motorstorms, R&C's, and GOW3 all say hello.
- The PS3 will naturally improve the PS legacy, because the glib media (at its launch) tried to tarnish its legacy from the outset. However, despite a huge ticket price and fierce FUD from all corners, the PS3 survived, thrived, and is well on its way to becoming a legendary console. I think that since the PS3 had such a hard road ahead of it, it makes it an even more special console if you look at where it started and where she is today.
Had a rocky start.Bad PR, high price point, appalling PSN at the time. You guys remember the pre-in game xmb days?
I vividly remember getting messages while playing guitar hero and having to actually quit the entire game, read the message, start the game back up again only to have my buddy send me a reply. It was ridiculous.
They've come along way tho.Since 2008 when MGS4 dropped, sales exploded and it just kept snowballing from there.LBP to Uncharted 2 to GOW3, Heavy Rain, Killzone 2 and so on.
Constant FW updates fixing and adding things. It's been a hell of a ride for PS3.But in the end, it gaves us the best console games this gen (some of the best games of all time actually) and managed to beat out xbox in sales, again, for the 2nd gen in a row.
if you look at only its tough beginning then tarnished. if you look at the big picture tho, it has been a great generation, and a fantastic addition to the playstation family. the quality of games alone has made it great. then throw in things like the amazing value of ps+ and we have a real winner.
now bring on the ps4
