Theory Interactive has released a new set of screenshots for its upcoming single player co-op first person puzzle game, Reset.
....they are saying this after only seeing some bullshots. Wait till they release vids....
agreed. nonetheless looks similar to crysis 3 and project cars level of detail and effects. so certainly possible.
Bullshots rule the world........... just look at the screenshot battle between Forza 5, GT6, and Driveclub. It will soon be the hottest article/blog on N4G.
There is a vid... http://www.youtube.com/watc...
That's more of a teaser trailer. He's asking for real-time/in-game footage. That's a crazy amount of fog with post color grading, though. It'll be interesting to see other games/devs replicate that look. It doesn't seem impossible.
No bullshots. Just proper PC tech doing it's thing.
Its been submitted to Steam Greenlight so wait until thats actually gone through, and they will show gameplay end of this month (28th to be precise). People seem to forget that this game probably wouldn't be available for a year or more even if its greenlit there. So the engine is perfectly realistic within PC technology of the next year or so. The fastest single GPU in the world has 3x the performance of PS4 and its out next week. By the time this game arrives that kind of performance will be pretty common and not too expensive for PC gamers.
God bless PC gaming. If you have the cash . . . it's a good place to be.
"*if you have the cash" is the biggest asterisk in the world of PC gaming. @ vulcanproject "The fastest single GPU in the world has 3x the performance of PS4" It's also a lot more expensive than the PS4, which is an complete gaming system, not just a GPU.
It's also a system that can't consistently do 1080p.
That is what console peasant belive, cute. Btw: Welcome to 2006 1080p 30 fps.
This is what "next gen" games should look like.
not just visually, at least if the description is accurate... its a co-op game you play...by yourself...through time travel... by far the most interesting thing i've heard in a long time...
I agree. Most PC games haven't reach this level yet, more often than not they're nothing more than upgraded ports with more texture resolutions and effects.
Heres a 1080p video, looks good http://www.youtube.com/watc... of course we have to see some gameplay but so far in the graphcis deparment if this is under some kind of engine looks pretty good to me
Shame consoles are just going to get inundated with shooters and triple-A garbage, and not amazing stuff like this. Sure they're getting The Witness, Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, and Rime, but they'll be few and far between with the overwhelming amounts of blockbuster crapfests.
well, in all fairness, not every studio can make such graphics, especially small teams. so you cant really blame it all on console manufacturers.
So far the only triple aaa garbage i see are COD, the usual fifa/live and possibly assassins creed ( A.I looks weak). Everything else looks pretty decent:The division, Destiny, the countless quality indie titles ( most are on pc too though) Battlefield, Killzone:Shadow fall, Dead Rising 3, iNFAMOUS Second son, The Crew, Knack, DriveClub, Mirror's Edge and Starwars battlefront. Just off the top of my head. Looks good to me. I don't see in generic shoot em bro-shooter up aaa garbage in that list. Maybe I'm too optimistic.
We have no guarantee that Reset will be actually a good game (and to be fair, same applies to those mentioned). It's not like PC gaming has been getting saturated with a lot of lazily done indie garbage.
So far I've seen more unique and creative indie titles than I have AAA blockbuster "crapfests". There's no guarantee of anything, and I'm sure you were never expecting to Everybody's Gone to the Rapture on console, let alone exclusively. I think the petty consoles will surprise you. This game does look absolutely phenomenal though. Really looking forward to it - hope the minimum specs aren't too ridiculous.
Crysis 3 still looks better. Star Citizen will raise the bar even higher.
we havent seen this game in motion yet -_-
Looks good. Need to see more of it. CRYSIS3 maxed looks amazing tbh.
i saw some video of this and YEH it looks great. Great graphics and awesome post processing effects. BUT.....not yet sold on the gameplay but it's still way way early.
Finally I have been waiting for this game to resurface the dev took a couple months off to do other things and just came back a few months ago I can still remember when that video hit N4G.
Even the game I will buy on the 12th will be better than this, Pokemon X and Y. If you want realistic graphics and industrial look, go outside in the real world and take some fresh air, even if your Country is a robotic, industrial Nation without brain like this game... limitating yourself on graphics, which Looks shit by the way... PC gaming is like the smartphone philosophy, every month a new device, which costs more than the previous. It is only for Money shitting donkeys and know what? A PC isnt even capable of emulating a 3dS correctly. Games like The Last Guardian will crush this without problems...
Haha what delusion!
Yes, playing on a pc must be delusional, thanks for the six agrees...
Well... given this wasnt actually the game but rather a cut scene of sorts I will say the "Samaritan tech demo" was just as impressive.
I wonder how demanding it would be to play it in max settings...
looks like a ps4 game
I've been following the development blog ever since their debut trailer last year. It's well worth a look for those interested, as there's some great info on their rendering pipeline and graphics engine, 'Praxis', to read about:- www.reset-game.net It's only a 2-person strong team, both coming from senior programming and design positions at Futuremark (the folks behind 3DMark and PCMark, etc). On the technical side we know it will be impressive. It's all on the gameplay now.
