According to an update to the original story, the rumor that Valve had filed for a European trademark on Half-Life 3 is false.
Urgh...everytime Why don't Valve just come out straight away and say it's fake instead of letting it go on so much
...no boss to give such orders?
Because it's free publicity for Valve, based on the stupidity and naiveté of internet users.
I think they have almost every time. They're probably fed up. Wouldn't you be? It's like finding out your dog has been ran over but found out it wasnt really your dog 1000 times. You'd get sick of hearing it eventually. (weird example I know)
Just look at how many times people have asked Rockstar when is the PC version of GTAV will be released.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me thrice...*gasp* HALF LIFE 3 CONFIRMED!!!
We got another e mail today saying three more announcements next week.
That mail is just an editor's note. It just provided an additional link.
am i the only one thats not surprised
N-no. My heart can't take this any more.
This is not funny anymore.
Half-life 3 unconfirmed!
Is anyone really surprised? I knew not to get excited about this. Until i hear it from Gabe himself and see it in motion then ill get excited.
I will believe it when it starts to load into my Steam account. Remember how Half Life 2 was a year after its street date due to a hack and how the Episodes went from being every three to six months to a year and a half or longer?
B-b-but there was... other ... evidence, man!
If this was just a hoax planted by Valve, it doesn't make sense. This news nearly eclipsed their other three announcements; everyone was talking about the Half-Life 3 trademark more than the Steam machines. Why make a fake news story that gets more attention than the real news stories?
I F***ing give up.
