GTA Online patch kills money hoarding from replaying missions

XMNR: Some Grand Theft Auto Online players discovered how to make money fast by constantly replaying a single mission in the online portion of GTA V for the PS3 and Xbox 360. The patch released by Rockstar Games on Friday put the end to all of that, however.

They want you to buy those cash cards.

Redempteur3853d ago

Maybe they just want players to play the rest of the missions ?

Who would be crazy enough to actually spend money in this game when people are losing EVERYTHING because of their shit cloud servers going down all the time? lol.

pay for power is lame.

Fireseed3853d ago

This is probably the most glaring example to me that R* still has no idea how to do online. If anything make it so you get reduced $ for repeat missions, cause some missions are actually enjoyable and me and my friends love playing them... well guess that's gone.

KwietStorm_BLM3853d ago

So play them. You just can't play them over and over and over and over and over

Fireseed3853d ago

That's what we want to do. We enjoy the living crap out of Survival on Boneyard. And don't much care for races or parachuting.

KwietStorm_BLM3853d ago (Edited 3853d ago )

Ok, I'm not trying to tell you how to play your game, but there is a metric shit ton of content, especially with your friends. You don't get bored playing that one mission and nothing else?

bujasem_893853d ago

have you ever witnessed call of duty?? it's the same thing over and over and over again... same concept really.

xPhearR3dx3852d ago

So then play survival on Boneyard over and over. Just go to the marker on the map. It's on the far east side of Lost Santos. The only ones you can't replay and the jobs you get through text-messages. Mostly because sometimes they're very easy and the payout is big. People don't usually replay those because they're fun, they replay them to farm cash.

ScamperCamper3853d ago

Hmm interesting. I suppose it's really self interest (financial) to make making money a bit harder. I know Rockstar is gamer friendly and wouldn't purposely make the game harder to make money. A glitch or exploit? Makes sense they need to deal with that. The game needs to keep credibility in that regard.

Cuzzo633853d ago

They fixed a money trick but cant figure out why my character and stats keep getting erased after a session.

Freeball3853d ago

Shenanigans. How can you replay a mission multiple times when you can't even get online to play them?

phoenixwing29d ago

@disagrees
Didn't have a good rebuttal did you? We all know the select players are whales who waste thousands or hundreds of thousands on the games currency. You expect them to make the same kinds of demands as everyone else? Keep dreaming.

Inverno29d ago

Well that and most likely streamers who have helped harpoon all those whales lolz.
