Well this isn't such a big deal. No prob.

excaliburps4276d ago

Really? I think it is. When playing a map like Op Metro, you want a CQB loadout, which is very different from a map like Caspian Border.

Heck, even on the same map, sometimes you need different equipment, different guns, scopes, etc. and you'd want that as fast as possible to spawn in -- especially now that in BF4 there are team perks.

Pandamobile4276d ago

Even on BF3's crappy UI, it doesn't take that long to swap about guns and attachments. Maybe 30 seconds to select a weapon and tweak the sights and attachments.

excaliburps4276d ago

30 seconds is a looong time when you're hurrying to help your teammate capture an objective though.

Say you need a grenade launcher ASAP, sometimes going to the menu, fiddling around, etc. will be too late and your teammate (spawnpoint) would already be dead.

Stop complaining, this isn't Call of Duty.

TI_214276d ago

No need for classes, however I'd like to have 4 presets for each individual weapon.
In BF3 I'm regularly switching between 3 weapon setups. With BF4 on the horizon I expect to change those even more because of the optical additions.

Razputin4276d ago

Shut the fuck up exacliburps. You've obviously been playing BF3. So why complain now?

You want Call of Duty preset load outs, go play that.

So suck it up like your dad tells you too, and keep doing it the same way.

i want this feature when i pop this in my ps4. dice make it happen.

its so easy and quick to make a loadout during a game that this isnt a huge deal.

RobbyGrob4276d ago (Edited 4276d ago )

Are you kidding? Battlefield is all about adapting to the situation with your load-out. Every time you re-spawn you're supposed to go over your last run, think of what you can do better, and change your load-out to reflect exactly what you intend to do this time around. In a game with as many weapons and attachments as BF4 you'll spend more time on the load-outs screen than on the battlefield with the lack of presets. I hated trying to find the perfect load-out in BF3. I just want the game to do this for me so i can focus on the actual fun instead, which is the fighting.

Extreme customization isn't fun for everyone. There is a limit to how small a detail i want to have to bother with. This is why i liked the BF 1943 remake so much; it had three classes with one load-out each. Just choose your play-type and hit the fight. BF: Bad Company 2 had the perfect maximum of stuff to unlock. Each weapon was different enough to actual make it worth it to try them all and find your favorite too.

In BF3 DICE started to add every weapon in existence for the sake of having every weapon in existence. That did NOT add to the fun at all. The actual practical differences between them is so small now that it's essentially like having the same gun with different models. I'd rather play a game where every weapon you have to choose from in each class is very different to use, than have 10 weapons of each "type" of weapon per class that does the exact same thing.

Dont other games do it?

HeyImBen114276d ago

Do other games have Battlelog?

dcj05244276d ago

Yes. Well starhawk, Mag, Call of Duty and homefront do.

i dont want to hear from a dev how hard it is. Figuring how how to make it work is what makes studios great

Absolutely insane. Man I'm hope they land on their feet EA needs to get the shit together badly....

This is why this industry has slow releases and none compelling games.

Why would anyone willingly work in the VG industry or specifically for one of these globocorp organizations that put you in constant fear of losing your livelihood based on terrible choices made by idiotic management, not the people with talent making the actual games?
