In App Purchases: Why I Have No Problem With Them

Mudry: "We live in a different gaming industry compared to what we had many, many years ago. Back in the day, there was no such thing as “downloadable content,” there were expansion packs that you bought at the store. There also was nothing that you could buy to supplement your gameplay experience, but there were cheat codes.

Nowadays, extra content and supplements are usually found in the form of in app purchases in games. Many developers, notably Zygna, noticed the power of IAP’s early on with their Facebook and mobile games, and many other developers have followed suit and have added them in their games. While they typically are a huge success for developers, many gamers find them insulting and have thoughts against the in app purchases. Personally, I have no problems with them."

"Many gamers, like myself, have jobs, go to classes, etc. After all that is said and done, I have … a few hours to play online games. "

I'm in a similar situation also. I'm an art student in college who has not much time to play games. I have actually bought a couple weapon packs for Battlefield 3 because of this. I love the game, but I cannot put in the time to unlock everything.

That is the only thing micro-transaction should be used for. Not to lock out actual content unless you pay.

GTA 5 DLC: Parts of Canceled Project Made Its Way to GTA Online

A Former Rockstar dev has revealed that they were making a GTA 5 DLC, but it was scrapped since GTA Online was such a "cash cow," though it wasn't a total waste as parts of it made its way to GTA Online.

What a damn shame. Sinfmgle player dlc could've been so dope but nope fk you single player guys.

Perfect reason why I'm against single player games having multiplayer attached. Eat up more resources
