GTA V: My top 5 issues with this near perfect game

Totally agree with #5 and #3 and the fonts could be a bit bigger, yes.
I disagree with #1 though, I think they did it that way in order to give the game a higher replayability value (you can probably find guides online as well)

This is very true...the missions are very enjoyable. In previous games I would have most fun by getting 5 stars and just causing complete chaos. I have been playing this game for about 10 hours or so now, not even done it once because the missions have kept in entertained enough.

I should have made it my top 6 issues with the game and added how poor the 'strangers and freaks' missions are compared to the main ones.

This is the ONLY GTA game that I enjoyed played all the missions or almost all the missions.

The only ones I didn't like actually were the last 2 I think.

Anyways, this game is about as good as it gets in terms of giving your stuff to do and providing for plenty of memorable gaming moments.

My only complaint would be not being able to steal any car and then sell it for money.

That is what GTA is all about.

what ??, there are very few good missions - its one of my biggest dissapointments.
The Ballod of Gay Tony had way more good missions despite having far fewer missions in total.

I really find gta5 boring now after finihing it once.

I have a huge issue with the cellphone text I always have to get up close to the tv just to read it maybe because I'm farsighted but still they should have an option to make it bigger.

yeah, I absolutely disagree with #1. AC3 did that and I hated it, it felt like the game was telling you that you were playing the game wrong for having fun with it.

Same here, if they showed you the requirements for Gold before/during the missions, it would've spoiled a lot of the fun and choices players would make. If you care about gold for missions, then look them up on guides. Rockstar was smart to even add that in there.

My only real complaint is that you can't walk into a bank or jewelry store and rob it any time you want.

The Helicopter is tough at first, but once your character is 100+ at Flying then the flying isn't that bad.

totally agree with the helicopter controls. the main problem is that they modeled it to mimic turbulence the same way that the fixed wing aircraft experiences it. this is not right at all. Its feels like the pilot turned off the automatic flight control system and doesnt know what hes doing.

I'm glad its not just me having a hard time flying the helicopters, I had problems with it in GTAIV too whenever there's a mission that needs me to land it on a marker I'm lucky if I don't blow the thing up!

My main issue is that it's too damn easy, but I agree about the radio music being weak compared to past GTAs. Also, the cars don't feel quite right and can take way more damage than in the past.

It's definitely the best GTA, but I'd rank RDR over GTA5 by just a little bit.

I pretty much only dislike the cars in this game. the controls are bad and they take way touch damage, GTA4 was way better with cars. The car customization is pretty sweet, but it gives you no idea of how the car will control once you're done with it.

im a huge gta fan, to me the most disappointing thing is the vehicles lack that gta vehicle feel, they feel a bit stiff like saints row or nfs or something, the overall physics feels downgraded from IV

gta 4 had waaaay better physics and vehicle feel (except for boaty feel), if they took IV handling and improve it, it would've been much better

other than that, the game is phenomenal

I'm not saying the radio is spectacular but you only listen to Non stop pop? Maybe the Pet shop boys track works as a guilty pleasure but what else is on there? Rihanna and Britney Spears?
The old school soul station is where it's at, baby. There are also quite a few good tracks scattered around the other stations and even some of the lesser known tracks set the mood quite nicely if you give them a chance.

I think a lot of people need to Remember why they like Dance hall days by Wang Chung and Japanese boy by Aneka. It's not like anybody fist pumped when they saw that those songs were on Vice city's radio, it's that after those songs starting up at the perfect moment during a chase or during some atmospheric relaxed driving they became forever linked to our experience of Vice city.

It is pretty much the only station I listen to. I don't got out of my way to listen to any other channel apart from the three that I said in the article.

The ending. The ending is weak. I personally think two of the main characters (Michael and Franklin) are not well thought out. I really enjoyed GTA V. It was a fun game but its story was all over the place. Trevor is by far the most interesting character yet he isn't really explored either.

5, I never really noticed because I don't listen to metal. But I guess they should have one.
4, I never noticed this. I'm only about 2 feet from my tv though.
3, For me, I change the channel when it's a song on lol. Listen to the talk radio and commercials, they're absolutely hilarious, and I'm a third of the way through and I still hear mostly new content. The only one I have to compare to is GTA san andreas, but the selection is far better than that one at leas.

Overall, I think Rockstar should be pretty happy with themselves if 2 of the biggest issues of the game have to do with not enough song choice.

trevor is the best part of this game period IMO, the other 2 characters are weak beyond belief to me, michael is just a cheap max payne rip off with no real place in gta and franklin is only good for driving... trevor is the funniest and most interesting character yet he gets the least back story it seems...the garage car glitch is annoying as all fuck to me because i like to collect nice rare cars and a few minor annoyances have drove me crazy in my run to 100% which i got earlier, they could have been easily fixed and maybe they will be over time but im already done with everything single player so its all in vein for my personal experience. still a solid game, not sure if it was worth 5 years in the making but yea

Considering so many other aspects are "unrealistic," I think it wouldn't hurt to have you die less easily in gun fights than it is. Even with body armor.

Well in my honest opinion. Only thing I agree with on this list is size of the text. Other than that rest is your own opinion. West coast classics is fantastic as well as punk/metal station radio x. Non stop pop is terrible. Reggae station is good as well.

The radio sucks. The only ones worth listening to are the talkshow ones. The old games were so much better. I miss Double Clef radio.

My main gripes are no shoulder swap. This should be a standard in a game with 3rd person shooting. I was recently annoyed by this in Splinter Cell. Also the camera annoys me sometimes. if youre looking to the side and try to walk or drive off it always snaps back it behind you. It should do nothing. I'm a better camera man, I know what I want to look at, let me do it myself. Especially on foot.

Fix the garage so I can start saving some cars, and bring back the shooting gas tanks from Vice City.

Vigilante mission? I mean, WTF? Why would they not be there? They were great. Now I just have to shoot at cars and then chase them but its not the same. I know there are random crimes, but the vigilante missions were great and there was no reason not to have them.

Can I please have X as accelerate. i hate the goddamn triggers and acc/brake system. Why did this ever become a standard?

Where are the gangs? Was this some controversial thing that they had to take this out? Different regions with different gangs and different vehicles was a highlight of the series and made each area recognizable.

Which brings me to my main gripe and one that I know everyone will disagree with with.

To me the city is almost too big. Not too big but too generic. In older games you could look around and know pretty much where you were on the map and navigate where ever you wanted from memory.

OK, I've only been on it a week, but it seems like the lack of landmarks, no gangs and all downtown looking the same, all of the desert looking the same just makes it hard to know where you are, and I always have to look at the map to go somewhere.

I guess this is just a consequence of the map getting bigger. Somehow I kind of prefer the Liberty City/Vice City size where it was smaller but you knew it by heart and could just get to where you wanted without going to the GPS.

Oh well, these are all minor, minor gripes. Still having a blast.

I like your post actually ... I agree that again the map is too full of empty space you can drive ten minutes and see very little extras or random events ... Big maps are cool but gta is about being a baller ... The taxi system is great but a helijet or helicopter taxi service would have been great ... Soooo many buildings , you still cant go in 98 % of them

The vehicles dissapear also. If you park a car walk down a few houses turn around the car is gone. I also had a semi went in a store came out the trailer was gone.

Totally agree with the helicopter controls, i use Trevor who has full flying ability, hold up on the analog stick slightly to move forward and then it wobbles from side to side, i just end up doing semicircles with my analog stick to try to keep the thing pointing in the right direction....

My only real gripe is that the iFruit app isn't out for Android yet. And that the BAWSAQ took a server hit and didn't come online for a week, so I'm replaying so I can actually make money on 3 out of the 5 assassinations missions.
