General question in regards to both the XB1 and PS4: just how much of either system in their "current" entirety will be available "day-one"?

Stargazer3926d ago

To be honest, there's no hard number to give you, unfortunately. We'll have to wait until Sony and Microsoft release some numbers in terms of how many of their consoles will be available "day-one."

Software_Lover3925d ago

I think you missed what he was saying totally.

tokugawa3925d ago

strange. normally the optical out is connected to the small decoder box for dobly sound!!

very strange. sounds like a rush job from TB

Stargazer3925d ago

I am an idiot. I looked at the question wrong, so apologies. There are a few specific things here and there that won't be available "day-one," such as the ability to record PS4 footage through its HDMI. According to Yoshida, that support will come in the form of a patch.

JimmyLmao3925d ago

but that patch could be on day 1

...didn't think about that did ya!

the main thing is that it is actually coming =D

Godmars2903925d ago

Nah. I could and should have written the question more clearly. My bad.

That's why I'm sticking with my Wii U.

xHeavYx3925d ago

Have fun playing....hmm... let me think....
I'll have to get back at you

N4GDgAPc3925d ago

I will be joining you with your Wii U when Xenoblade 2 comes out other than that Wii U is pretty worthless to me. Only reason I bought a Wii is for Xenoblade. And so far only reason I'm buying Wii U is for Xenoblade 2.

Godmars2903925d ago

Why you're waiting for games to play on it you mean. Modern ones anyway.

Honestly, from what I'm seeing of old SNES titles in the e-shop, and still waiting for the release of Xenoblade 2 in NA, the WiiU kind of worth getting.

A surround sound headset can't do surround sound?

lmfao. mmmm WiFi direct sounds soooo good.

Cueil3925d ago

hahahahaha... he's talking about through the controller... yeah... SS though the controller

JimmyLmao3925d ago (Edited 3925d ago )

how on earth do you think the xbox one's peripherals connect to the xbox one?
it's not via bluetooth... it's via WiFi direct.

or is this a wired headset?

tigertom533924d ago

they have stated "feature may not be available at the Xbox One launch, you can rest assured knowing that your XO SEVEN is surround sound ready." so its not an issue with WiFi direct which has a 100X the bandwidth over Bluetooth, it more of the software end, still possible that this will update by the lunch date or latter down the road.

Deathdeliverer3926d ago

Its Ok. My surround sound speakers support surround sound at launch. I hate wearing my PS3 surround sound headset because it gets me yelled at a lot by my girlfriend. "I've been calling you for 5 minutes" and blah. My full 2 ear headset days are OVER.

NexGen3925d ago (Edited 3925d ago )

You know both the pulse and pulse elite have a setting that lets you hear the outside world while playing, right?

Deathdeliverer3925d ago

I have the official surround sound headset that came out first for PS3. Made by sony. It doesn't have a option like that. Or didn't at launch when I got it. Maybe I just need to get a new one then. How would something like that work anyway? Is it not the earmuff style anymore? That design alone would stop sound I would think. Ill look into that and thanks for the info!
