Battlefield 4 was between the games appearing at Tokyo Game Show, and this time around the version showcased was the PS4 one.

There weren't showing the customization screen... It was just spectator mode and if you want to compare color palates, I would much rather the blue and red rather than the green and yellow of the PC version spectator mode shown at Gamescom.

Can't really compare the gameplay either because this is extremely low quality, like 240p low-quality. The shit burns my eyes it's so bad. Hard to watch...

Exactly. Every video I've seen of BF4 looks like straight garbage and doesn't help in persuading me to buy this game. They're actually doing the opposite. This game has a LOOONG way to go for me to purchase this.

the ps4 version is confirmed to be at medium settings (one step above the lowest possible settings) and is below native 1080p resolution and it shows

the ps4 version looks very weak, and I bet the xbox1 version will be even worse

Can't get the link for this video but type into YouTube - Battlefield 4 multiplayer gameplay the video length is 43:45. It is on PC bit all the settings are set to low. The next gen console versions should look like that at least.

I'm sure you're leading us to believe this is some kind of example that next gen consoles are "weak" but this says little more than dice sucks and better games will be better.
As a non BF4/non PC elitist, what this 3rd party game from EA looks like now means very little.
Maybe they're still figuring out hardware.
Maybe their holding back to make future upgrades to the franchise cheaper.
Dice has their own agenda and apparently it's NOT to max out these consoles right now.
We've seen better looking games so this is on them.

1.6 ghz cpu is pushed to absolute limit day one
laptop/mobile/tablet gpu is pushed to absolute max

that's why games are not native 1920x1080, a resolution that has been the standard on pc for the last 8 years, these "next gen" console cannot even attain

that is how you know they are "maxed out

now will devs find new shortcuts in the coming years, and optimizations to make for the given hardware ? yes absolutely

but will ps4 EVER be capable of running bf4 in ultra settings at native 1080p?

the game is almost at the lowest possible settings and still cannot manage 1080p native on ps4, the xbox1 version will be even weaker

Nor do I care what superficial "seal of quality" console ports get from audience members with fat rigs.
Where are you getting that the game is running on "the lowest settings possible"?
It's silly to cater your engine to the smallest part of your market share.
