Yukio Futatsugi’s Crimson Dragon is leading the Xbox One charge in Japan, so it’s only appropriate for Microsoft to release a trailer of the game for Tokyo Game show.

I just can't get into stylized graphics

cleft53870d ago (Edited 3870d ago )

Microsoft needs to release more trailers of some of these killer games they have coming to the Xbox One. Would love to hear more about Quantum Break and the D4 thing. If Microsoft brings the focus back around to these amazing games they will be golden, for a little while anyways.

Also, the trailer for this game looks cool.

GrizzliS19873870d ago

garbage kinect game probably :X so weird too, my dads name is Drago and she keeps saying it and im all like O.o

badkolo3870d ago

you dont deserve to play games

gedden73870d ago

Graphic aren't everything...

Big_B0SS3870d ago (Edited 3870d ago )

Well said...I had more fun playing MineCraft and Zelda Wind Waker than Heavy Rain or Alan Wake.

People can disagree all they want but I dont buy games to watch cinrmatics or to look at pretty images.

MWong3870d ago (Edited 3870d ago )

@Big_B0SS
Besides MineCraft all those games were visually beautiful. Alan Wake and Heavy Rain are 2 of the most visually stunning games in the current generation. I'm with you I buy games for their OVERALL package, not just cinimatics.

I don't know something just throws me off about this game. I loved the original Panzer Dragon, so when I heard the name Crimson Dragon, I thought it would be a 60fps 720p beautiful continuation of Panzer Dragon. I don't know it looks like it was supposed to be on the XB360 at 30fps. Maybe it's just the action that's really slow paced. I think if they would've waited to release and added more polish and optimization the game would look a lot better (not just graphically).

aceitman3870d ago

this does not look next gen .

Fireseed3870d ago

Who give's? The game play looks fun and that's all that matters.

Hatsune-Miku3870d ago

so many franchises or games i love are owned by microsoft and they all are being wasted in microsofts hands.

perfect dark is such an awesome franchise and the one on xbox 360 was rubbish.

banjo kazooie was so awesome on the n64 and the last one on xbox 360 was rubbish

killer instinct gold is a joy to play on the n64 even to this day and the rubbish i see being made on the xbox one is just disheartening

steel battalion is just an awesome game and it was a game made before its time. when i heard aot the game coming to the xbox 360 i was very excited about t. i was let down because their wasnt any support for the original steel battalion massive controller, and the game uses kinect a rubbish controller device.

panzer dragoon was awesome on the xbox one and the new panzer game or whatever its called for the new xbox one just doesnt look good enough for me.

it seems like all the amazing franchises or games i mentioned were amazing at one time but microsoft doesnt want to put enough support behind them to make them great again for their respective time. i would love a proper perfect dark , killer instinct and the rest i mentioned but microsoft needs to put the effort forward.

Regis3870d ago

No they fallen from the original direction they were heading which was create games for gamers. I don't know if anyone remembers that this was there plan and that when Bungie first joined them this was the reason they said. "Microsoft xbox was created for the gamers so they could have fun with their games and friends."

OC_MurphysLaw3870d ago

Banjo Kazooie Nuts & Bolts was a great game that didn't get the love from fans it should have.

Killer Instinct by all accounts is coming along fantastically so not sure what you are bitching about there.

Perfect Dark ... yeah we can agree that Zero was a dud.

Steel Battalion... you can 100% blame Capcom for that mess not Microsoft. Sure MS gave Capcom money for it but Capcom was the one to develop that crap UI, Gameplay and story line...

Panzer dragoon.... Crimson Dragon seems to be a good successor from what we have seen so far. Nobody else has been willing to make something similar and keep in mind Crimson Dragon was originally a first gen kinect game for 360 so I am happy to see they kept it for Kinect 2.0.

Hatsune-Miku3870d ago (Edited 3870d ago )

again, you fanboys dont understand.when you value certain franchises and believe in them then you would put a lot of effort behind them. the successor to the panzer dragoon game for xbox one looks like it is litetrally being made for xbox one and not a next gen console. killer instinct doesnt look like a next gen game and its being made for the xbox one.

we are going to a new generation of gaming so it would be nice to see something representative of the new systems power. killzone shadow fall looks like a big improvement as well as infamous second son. i havent seen enough of drive club to know whats going on with it but from what ive seen of it inicially it doesnt look next gen to me yet. most games will likely look better on release but some now arent showing anything that clearly couldnt be done on xbox 360 or ps3.

you fanboys can pretend and play rubbish games

""Banjo Kazooie Nuts & Bolts was a great game that didn't get the love from fans it should have.

@ Dlacey3g

pure apologizing on microsofts behalf placing blame elsewhere, lol. you problably think microsoft can do no wrong

Every ip you love will disappoint you eventually. There is always someone willing to bend and destroy brilliance if it'll make money.

Yes terminator 3 and beyond, I'm still bitter.

I think this game looks really cool. Reminds me much of the Panzer Dragoon Saga. Although I'm getting a PS4 for sure, I'm still jealous that the XboxOne "currently" has a better line up of games (in my opinion).

The reason I'm sticking to PS4 is because I know that in the years to come, they will come out with more exclusives.

But seriously though, this game looks really cool. How can you go wrong with Dragons?

soljah3870d ago

is this the sequel to lair?

Neoninja3870d ago

This game has no connection to Lair except for them both having dragons.

This is more of a spiritual successor to Panzer Dragoon and Panzer Dragoon Orta.

3870d ago
gedden73870d ago

The spiritual successor to Panzer the Dragoon! Cool Stuff can't hate!

rdgneoz33870d ago

The trailer was a lot better than the E3 one without any sound. Though I was expecting a trailer made for the TGS to be in Japanese...

syne493870d ago

This would end up being the game that gets me to buy a One. The Panzer Dragoon series is one of my absolute favorite series. If you guys haven't played any of them i highly recommend going and at least getting Panzer Dragoon Orta. Goodness gracious I want to play this so bad.

izumo_lee3870d ago

It has SOUND!!!! I would've sworn this game was made like those classic silent films. /jk

Panzer Dragoon series was totally underrated & a brilliant game. If this could at least harness some of Panzer Dragoons magic than XBone gamers are in for a treat. Hopefully they will support this game & not overlook it too much.

Abriael3870d ago (Edited 3870d ago )

Lol I thought that too... I actually was tempted to write it, then I restrained my jesterish soul.

Got already too many fanboys crying their eyes out whenever i dare cracking a joke on their favorite console :D

I would love some Halo on PC...

stefd751960d ago

i would love the whole Master Chief collection on PC

oasdada1960d ago

Halo 5 was a dissapointment

oasdada1958d ago (Edited 1958d ago )

Yupp cuz it was like 5 hrs long and riddled with micro transactions.. Yeah defend ur crap thats why u deserve it

jagermaster6191958d ago

Aww poor guy... You sound upset!

TheUndertaker851960d ago

Rare Replay is actually some good fun too. There’s a lot packed on it.

Teflon021960d ago

All I want is rare replay. I'd Pay $100 for the games bundle. I just want the Banjo's, Conker and Kameo titles. The rest I'll pass on, maybe keep battle toads though the only battle toads game I really liked was the Double dragon and battle toads title on SNES

Kiwi661960d ago (Edited 1960d ago )

Hold on a sec but didn't some people on here on say that all xbox games are on pc and therefore there is no need to own an Xbox One

iplay1up21960d ago

Not only that, but how many people have PCs that can run. Microsofts games better than they run on X1X. Also Red Dead 2 says hello to PC gamers!

Teflon021960d ago

You need to rethink this one. That made no sense. Microsoft games, not RockStar games, also a PC would run RDR2 better than a console. Don't get how you mention running better then go on to run from a comparison. Games just run better on PC, it's just that simple. Don't gotta be a blind fanboy.

CurbStompin1960d ago

I do. And I have Pro, X1X, and gaming pc. I don’t discriminate, a good game is a good game.

rainslacker1960d ago (Edited 1960d ago )

There are literally 4 games on this list. All of them from the first couple years of the gen.

Personally, I don't think the author tried that hard. Surely there are more than that.

I'm sure you understand generalizations though.

Kiwi661960d ago (Edited 1960d ago )

So he mentions only 4 games that aren't on pc but it doesn't change the fact that there are people who say something like "all you need is a ps4, switch & PC" or " there's no point in owning an Xbox One as all its exclusives are on pc" now does it

rainslacker1960d ago

Doesn't really change that no. But if one has a variety of consoles, 4 games isn't really going to be much of a reason to buy a new console. That's typically the context by which people use the expression.

Personally, I think it's kind of dumb, as I don't think that PC and console gamers overlap that much. But I do feel that if one has a good enough PC, and isn't adverse to using it for gaming, then the X1 becomes fairly superfluous, while other consoles have more to offer in said scenario.

Teflon021960d ago

facepalm*
4 games and 2 are halo. 2 titles are also just rereleases of older games in a comp. So it's really 2. No one is worried about 1 and the other is one weak ass excuse for a Halo title. Reason no one talks about it no more. So yes, when that statement is said, it's right.

Kiwi661960d ago

So how does what you said refute how people claim that every Xbox exclusive is on pc

Gority1960d ago

Kiwi it's a generalization. It's not literal man.

RainbowBrite2152d ago

I think Quantum break was quite disappointing, but Sea of Thieves already looked terrible from the first day, it was fictitiously hyped by "ambassadors". Halo 5 is a 343 game so it is ok, you don't expect much... they don't deliver... Ryse was a new IP, it was ok for a new IP

Johnyra2152d ago

I really liked sea of thieves,i thought it was an awesome and unique game........for the first 20 hours then it got beyond repetitive and it is a pity cause it had potential in my opinion

-Foxtrot2152d ago (Edited 2152d ago )

Quantum Break should have just left out all the live action TV crap and focused on the main stuff...you know the actual game.

Halo 5 had an awful story for the single player but it also 343 trying to change Bungie's formula to make it a 343 campaign just like what they TRIED to do with the multiplayer in Halo 4.

If people want a squad based single player game where people online can join your game and take over one of the story characters then we have Gears of War for that.

rainslacker2152d ago

I was actually interested in SoT since it started getting the dev diaries. I never really wanted to play the game, as I'm not into the MP stuff, but I liked what I was seeing. What it came to be in the end wasn't all that impressive.

Obelisk922151d ago

So I'm not the only one to think Sea of Thieves looked bad from the very first day.

I don't know how that game can be enjoyed honestly. Almost no content and feels totally uninspired...

But that's just my opinion of course.

OMNlPOTENT2152d ago

Halo 5 wasn’t bad and there are still a lot of people still playing it. The campaign definitely wasn’t the best but the multiplayer is really fun.

Razmiran2152d ago

People in denial still play it I guess

UCForce2152d ago

Halo 5 Campaign is the worst and most misleading marketing campaign. People don’t have a problem with Halo 5 MP, it’s the MT in Halo 5 that people have problem with it. It was just gambling and you don’t feel special about it.

maybelovehate2151d ago

Agreed, game still going strong after more than three years. Bring it to pc 343

Cajun Chicken2152d ago

BS. Quantum Break was great and Halo 5 was average. Problem is, Halo games AREN'T MEANT TO BE AVERAGE, so Halo 5 really stands out like a sore thumb in the series in that regard. I can't judge Super Lucky's Tale, but I really want to pick it up sometime.

Aceman182152d ago

QB was such a damn disappointment I sold it, and my system right after finishing the damn game. You could just spam the samn damn moves to finish the game lol.
