How Can The Elder Scrolls Online Turn It Around On Consoles?

You either missed or ignored the point. Yes, there will already be fees to play online, except for PS4's F2P titles, but few will want to pay a subscription on top of that. For me, the ESO sub news took the game from high on my list to off my list completely.

$300 in the first year in order to JUST PLAY ESO.

Who the hell thought of that idea? And what justifies that much $ for a game? Seriously taking advantage of gamers.

I'll be honest, I don't necessarily mind paying a fee every month if it was something like 5 dollars per month, but in no bloody way am I going to pay 15. That is utterly ridiculous. I was truly looking forward to ESO but 15 dollars a month drove away this ES fan.

Free 2 Play will be the best approach for this game. It's gonna flop with pay monthly. Skyrim offers too much to justify this.

Bottom line, console gamers are not going to like having the sub fee, and as a result the game may die, but without the sub fee the game will die because they will not be able to keep the game running smoothly.

I find it hard to believe $15 a month is what what it would take to deliver content in the way they claim.

The more users they have, the less they should have to charge to support the title. With this steep sub price, they are painting themselves into a box...

This game went from a 'must buy' to a 'definitely not gonna buy' in a matter seconds when I read about the monthly fee. I love Elder Scrolls games and playing one online with friends would be amazing but not for a monthly fee. Sorry, but it's not worth it. There will be too many other options for me to justify burning extra money on this specific game.
