Pocket Gamer - 2013: Infected Wars Review

Pocket Gamer - If there's one thing hardcore shooter fans like more than shooting hordes of baddies in the head, it's shooting hordes of baddies in the head in multiplayer.

Playing alongside another human somehow improves even the most generic of video game experiences, you see.

It's just as well you can play with an online buddy in 2013: Infected Wars, then, really, for as a single-player experience it's deathly dull.

Missed so many games.

Also backwards compatibility differs from region to region.

Literally some stores like the NZ/Aus store will allow syphon Filter 1 and 3 but not 2 and the USA store is different again

I haven't done it in a while so unsure if it has changed, but you used to be able to download any PS1 or PSP game to a PS3 and then transfer it to the Vita and it just worked - regardless of whether it showed as something you could buy in store for, or download directly to, the Vita. It opened up a huge library of back-compat titles that way.

2013: Infected Wars Review | PS Vita Reviews

PS Vita Reviews just finished up their play of the Vita's newest shooting game. Here are their final thoughts on 2013 Infected Wars:

On the downside, the Multiplayer has been removed, getting gold is very grind-heavy, and there are some frame issues when the screen gets overloaded with enemies. Past this is a solid third-person shooter that any shooting fan can get some enjoyment out of. "
