One Hit Pixel: "Microsoft’s game trade-up programme, where customers that purchase the Xbox 360 version of select games can upgrade to the Xbox One version for $9.99, will only be available in North America, Canada and Puerto Rico."
Doesn't hinder me cause I live in the US and plan on getting BF4 for 360 then trading it for the One version. But again this sucks for those that are affected.
And here I tough when we said North America, we would immediately assume that it already included Canada and Puerto Rico...
What about Greenland and Mexico?
I don't know why they always get left out... I think it something political than territorial.
Besides, the xbox is not popular in Puerto Rico. This is only good for those americans that live in puerto rico that own the crappy xbox.
Surprisingly when GTA4 came out the most GameStop midnight sales came from Puerto Rico. Very hardcore gamers.
sorry Canada, it appears that you're no longer a part of North America...
I don't think Canada wants to really be part of MURICA anyway...Hell I live here and the astounding ignorance and attitude of MURICA makes me want to move to Canada
ouch thats really bad for other Countries
It's bad for people who can't wait to play certain games. Assuming of course that all those games will be available at the X1 launch.
Am I the only one that feels that Puerto Rico was a bit of a wild card here?
I am from Puerto Rico and we are treated like US in nearly everything video game wise
Didn't know that. Learn something new everyday :) And I'm not all that surprised that a big part of the world was left out of this. The article says you have to visit a MS store and I don't think one exists in Sweden. I assume it's the same in big parts of the world.
what i really hate is puerto rico being treated like a separate country when we in fact are part of the U.S. and more than half the population in PR speaks English, how about this you shove up our asses your ideals and language you have treated us like guinea pigs and used our sister islands as a military site for artillery testing and because of it people who lived in those island suffered from illnesses like cancer.... o shit i went off topic, any way f*ck the goverment!
This is a gaming site, not a political one, but I concur with you desertpunk86
Well Puerto Rico is a territory of the US and we are US citizens
Puerto Rico is part of the US, and a suprisingly huge gaming market.
Yes we are, we love gaming
I cannot move over my saves from the 360 to the One. So, its a waste for me. Or can I move my saves over?! Anyone knows this?
A quick google search says no but the newest answer I found was from early June so there might have been a 180 on it.
Why exactly would you be able to move your 360 saves to the One80? It's NOT BC, so 360 saves are pointless on the One80
Well, let's just say English North America. Oh wait, forgot the french Canadians... well, you're part of it too.
I don't understand this deal, why would someone buy the 360 version just to buy the Xbox One version later? Dont both games come out at the same time? And if you are getting an xbox one this year or at launch, why worry about 360 versions? It makes no sense to me. Now if this was a long term deal for people who may pick up xbox one next year then i could see the purpose.
PS4 is doing the same thing except it's done through Sony and for 10 bucks you get the digital PS4 version....That kinda makes more sense than having to go to a Gamestop....But just waiting makes the most sense
"North America, Canada and Puerto Rico" wooooooow... Sarah Palin should be proud.
what do you mean?
yet another reason to avoid microsoft if you live in europe not that it matter wed end up paying more anyway as per usual..
