Peter Molyneux: We're about to witness the Facebook of gaming

TechRadar - When Peter Molyneux speaks, people tend to listen. But like any rockstar icon the man behind Populous and Black & White is no stranger to dividing opinion. Just take his recent comments on the Xbox One.

After leaving Lionhead Studios and Microsoft last year, Molyneux moved over to join former Lionhead CTO Tim Rance at 22Cans - a far cry from the world of Fable - where he's now focusing on projects smaller but arguably more ambitious.

This does not make sense to me.

Boody-Bandit2267d ago (Edited 2267d ago )

When is the last time Molyneux made sense?

JokesOnYou2267d ago (Edited 2267d ago )

lol, yeah Peter has some wild visions, he talks alot but doesn't really acheive his grand prophecies, still I like the guy, I just never take him seriously but hes worth the read.

That said, what does this have to do with Xbox One? Hes going on and on about mobile and touch screen gaming. Why the X1 pic and tag?

Its going to have a booming start then eventually its going to lose its buzz while some of it's users jump over to its competitor?

Yeah, its called Playstation Home released in Fall 2008 before Facebook was even big.

That's true but this "the-facebook-of-gaming&q uot; quote sounds like the PS4s user interface. The way you're connected to friends and facebook and how you can follow people that have interesting live streams.

It's very much like a social website.

I'm still curious what their plans for Home are.

Why is there a picture of XB1 on this article....this article has nothing to do with XB1, it's about mobile gaming. The only mention about XB1 is "his recent comments about XB1"...but then it refers to a different article....not really sure what this poster is trying to get at.
