Mafia 2 vs. GTA 4 graphics comparison, part 2

German gaming site PC Games is back with four new screens to compare again the graphics of Mafia 2 with Grand Theft Auto 4.

For me, Mafia 2 has the better visuals. But personally I think comparing games that arent even released is rather ridiculous. I'm more of a gameplay kind of guy.

Besides who cares, if you are fan of the genre you will most likely be playing both of them anyways.

Yea Mafia 2 has the better visuals, but GTA4 will have a lot more going on in the city, lots of peds and traffic on the screen

as long as the graphics are on par with whats going on with next gen
then gtaIV will no doubtly rule mafia. cause gta already knows how to go all out. but lets hope mafia 2 is better than gtaIV. cause who wouldnt want two completely bada$$ games?

but as mr fishy fingers said you cant reli compare two games which have yet to come out. so wait and see. i put my bets that both games will do good sale wise but gta has the bigger fan base. simple as. gta is gna rake it in!

Graphically, Mafia 2 holds the edge. I also like the style of that era, it works well for this type of game. May not be quite as sweeping and fully realized a game as GTAIV though. We'll have to wait and see.

has anyone here played MAFIA? that game was amazing and there was so much to do and the story was so good and the graphics were amazing at the time (around MAX PAYNE 1 release if i remember correctly)

the only thing that bugged me about Mafia is as you progress you get better cars which are all based on actual stats of the time, they went into GRAN TURISMO details to get the cars of the era right for the first one and i appreciated that but the first 10 or so cars you got couldn't make it up hill LOL, it bugged me so much at the time, but then again in real life that was the case too. Also there was no point in using older cars. You could JACK anyone, but u couldn't steal a car u hadn't learned how to steal yet.

also the POLICE system in Mafia 1 was great. U had to conseal your gun.. and since the time of the game was in the OLD OLD days, then if a cop was after you, u could lure him to a dark corner and shoot his brains out and nobody would know, if u went on a rampage they would call for backup. U culd get caught for speeding, so u had a LIMITER where u wouldn't go faster then the speed limit, and yes gastanks exploded, tires exploded, and u did have to get gas. There was 1 time i ran out of gas in the country side when driving around. and best part is if u pulled over all u got was a ticket that the MAFIA took care of anyways for u.

BUT i am excited for MAFIA2, hopefully it will be on the PC like the first one (it came to PC way b4 XBOX) so i can bask in all its glory.

I know GTA won't come to PC for a while so i'm not holding my breath but i wanna play both..

Both are great...

Mafia 2 has a very good graphics but GTA look more realistic to me...

But since when we care about GTA graphics...I will never choose a game of this type depends on it is graphics but on its gameplay...

Totally sure both will be great but for sure I will choose GTA 4 on Mafia 2...

People dont realise this is going to be one hell of a game. Mafia is one of my favourite games of all time, the gameplay, cars, stroyline, graphics were perfect, but EA might now own 2k Games who are owned by Take-Two, so maybe they'll rush it out before its ready :(

Graphics GTA , Gameplay GTA mafia 1 sucked same will 2 nothin beats GTA all these stupid games like mafia , scarface , streets of la , driver 3 , the getaway try to compete with gta but theyl never will !
