That doesn't look good to me at all. I only saw 1 to 3 enemies on screen at once. I saw no distructable enviorments. I saw no intelligent enemies....The lighging was bad, the textures are bad....The gameplay doesn't look innovative at all. I'm very dissappointed. I love FPS's...and this is one game I was looking to be decent. It looks absolutely nothing like the screen shots from a few months ago with NO HUD or gun in hand. Now, that they are showing actual screen shots and gameplay video...I'm very very dissappointed. Its not even close to the same level of detail or AI that I have seen in Gears of War. Anyone download that new video of Gears of War on xbox live recently? It blew me away. WOW.

If you go to IGN you can see videos where the player and his allies go up against a ton of enemies in the streets at once. The environments are huge, and the particle effects are insane. Stop being such a flamer.

FFS, The enviroment looks amazing. My PC can't pump up what that game handles yet buddy. I'm sorry you're watching a crappy low res movie that doesn't exactly complement this game. didnt look bad. the only thing that would dissapoint me if i bought the game is that the ai just stands there and the aliens look stupid. other than that i liked it. comparing this to gow and halo is unfair. no one is outdoing those games anytime soon.

i need to see more videos of this game but i hope the enemies are a little more physical and not as immobile like some of the enemies on farcry. but like i said this did seem to get the job done and i doubt the people who buy this game will regret it.

Was suppose to make the enemies intelligent? Number 4 is right. The enemies just stood there and looked right past you as you shoot them a million times to kill them. Wierd. I saw no physics...I saw no deep colors or texute. At IGN the screen shots were supsect due to the lack of a HUD. No gun...no life bar...no ammo shown...but these show it all. And boy oh boy does it look horrid to me. I'm not flaming. I'm just very dissappointed. This is not worth the price of admission. Over half a grand. NOOOOOO...And the sad part is the game is done. It should be gold now and pressing up as we speak. Not good folks. Sony only fans won't mind if the ps2 is all they have played. But my expectations are high due to the fact that I have been playing next gen games for almost a year now. WOW.

RFOM is cool for a standard Duke Nukem like run and gun FPS though. I wonder if it can match the ground breaking AI of Halo and how will it stand up to Huxley. It still has some Nintendo64 PS2 looking graphics and what the hell is that hazy dull color the color depth looks like somebody turned up the contrast up too high.UGLY!

It's funny i read a comment in the full story and somebody said that RFOM has a great(better than GoW) story line and Gow will offer nothing more than a Block Buster-ish story line. lol Gow's story is what im most interested about from the little bits and peices that i'v read. Gow's a freaking interactive movie(Cinamatic thriller is what they're going for( it's the reason for the detail in GoW and the down to earth gameplay. lol

Anyway, I think it looks pretty good. The gameplay looks solid but pretty standard for an fps. I expect this will be a pretty good game but I don't think it is a killer app. I predict an average of 87/100 on reviews.

I didn't realize that was the same site (I've downloaded a lot of their 720p movies via those more detailed pages.) I do think your attempt at an insult gives that site more credit than is due in terms of their popularity. I guarantee it's more than just 'amateurs' who are unfamiliar with that site.

Regardless, the original comment that the 720p version looked like "sh1t" is surely a bit fannish. The clip is unspectacular maybe, but 'sh1t'? Hardly.

Man I get so much more excited when obvious fanboys feel they have to rush and make negative comments on each every PS3 game! They know what's in store for them and they know there is NOTHING they can do to stop it! Topgamer and Power of Green I have burned you both now for the longest! But its now apparent that I can step back and feel confident about the PS3 and what its offering to gamers! Motorstorm and RFOM are both living up to their high standards! it's going to be interesting to see how the live plays out, not very well I'll bet. This really isn't a good display to be shown for such a hyped game.

If it makes you feel any better i think Prey suck ass also but at least it looked good but that's not enough. If they can pull off some great AI like Halo and if the game makes you feel like part of the storyline instead of just shooting sheit between cutscens it could turn out to be a above average FPS. I like the Gaint Bosses in the game at least i think they will be gaint bosses in RFOM got to love the old school Gaint bosses.

im kinda not seeing anything special from ps3 texture wise anyway...
i thought ths game was meant to showcase the ps3, kind of sonys GOW, but its the third big name game for ps3 that has left me feeling that maybe the system isnt all that great, considering how much space this took on a blue ray where is all the bump maping and 3d texture? maybe its there but i cant see it in the videos ive seen, same goes for motorstorm....yes great pics but the ingame ive seen looks flat and muddy, and again i have to say devil may cry has flat boreing graphics, yes verry gothic but for me part of next gen graphics is the textures that you feel like you could almost touch, flat walls that look like they are actually sticking out, metal and glass that looks hard and cold, maybe im expecting too much from ps3, but ive seen far better, i would almost put money on the fact that sonys machine isnt the most powerfull on themarket, but they wouldnt want that to get out, so they hold back on the specs of their console, gonna be real interesting when the ps3 gets launched, cant wait to read what happens...

As long as you can feel immersed its ok. Seeing this video i think that the huge skyline is the biggest immersive factor. In the same way HL2 was immersive.

The only thing i really felt out of place in that video was how clean it all looked. I prefer a little more dirt and moss on the walls

As for the enemies behavior: The dont look pretty smart but IMHO they dont need to. One of my favorite FPS is Serious Sam. There is no status quo of how a perfect game needs to be. And i will curse the day someone finds it.

If the game plays excellent it is excellent.

I will wait with my judgement till i played it ;)

Looks like a standard go here shoot this protect that 720p shooter. The launch of a console must have a FPS. The 360 had the comic book looking Perfect Dark 0 which made me happy over all except for the cheesy acting and lame story line. But the online play and weapons made up for that.

But to be 100% real here the only people who are amped about this game are Sony die-hard fans. I think they should have made a ratchet and clank game for launch it would have attracted more attention.

But over all the game looks like COD2 with ratchet and clank weapons. I’m disappointed and wanted a PS3 launch game that says “ Go out to Toy R us and stand in line for 24 hrs and get a PS3.” But there is not one game being offered from developers that makes me want to spend my cash on a PS3 that I can get a better experience than I get with my 360.

Yes Sony need to put out a game at least one to get you to buy a game console. This one is not it.

Every game looks better on direct feed. The level of immersion is pretty damn high. It actually feels like you're in an enormous city, and not just a small area that needs to load all the time. I really don't understand why people are comparing this game to Call of Duty 2. Maybe it's the only decent FPS they can compare from the 360? Honestly, it doesn't even look like a WWII game, so I'm not sure how these comparisons were made.

The potshots being made are actually pretty entertaining since none of those accusations are actually true.

"There's only 1~3 enemies at once!" And yet we have videos where there's something like 20 guys duking it out all at once. Then there's 40-player online (which the 360 guys claim isn't 'tactical enough'.)

"No environmental destruction!" Sorry, we've already seen the destruction. You're too late. The best of course is "Where's that floating point processing?!" Well, part of that was used to have so many intelligent enemies onscreen at once during those huge battles. Having battles with dozens of enemies/allies all at once, all the time, would get a bit tedious. The game obviously goes back and forth between small and epic confrontations.

Actually, that's the biggest thing I've noticed. Games like F1 Championship, Motorstorm, Resistance, and Lair are showing a huge amount of AI-controlled characters at once (and significantly more than anything I've seen attempted on rival consoles).

I'm a big FPS fan so I would probably play this game, but it doesn't look like it's going to fullfill the hype its causing. And whats up with those cheezy B-Rated monsters??? The aliens in HALO2 have more style than this! ;)

This looks like Battlefield 2 from the 360. So does Gears of War and GRAW and R6:V and F.E.A.R. and HL2....FPS is FPS these days...

The one thing I did not care for in the video was the sense of simply running around looking for another (stupid) alien to shoot. For me, two things make or break a FPS these days - 1) multiplayer and 2) immersion in SP mode. Examples? BF2's SP mode is a completely boring waste of time, but its MP mode is some of the most fun I have had in gaming. On the flipside, despite its huge MP modes and followings, I personally liked the SP mode of GRAW.

Resistance looks OK, but it doesn't look any better than GRAW or Gears or R6:Vegas for that matter. I want developers to start changing the GAMEPLAY and not just making another carbon copy shooter with its inevitable sequels...

What I WANT is my goddamn Killzone 2 from the 2-year old videos!!! I have been waiting for THAT since the second I saw it and sadly neither the 360 nor the PS3 seems intent on making that happen. Not just the graphics either - the details, the explosions, the physics of the detonations, the fluid movements of the characters... Dammit! I want THAT and I still don't have it...

These monsters look very silly standing there waiting to be shot. Maybe that's why they made the game with aliens. That way they wouldn't make the real enemeny of WWII look so dumb since they couldn't get the A.I. any better lol! Yes, that is a fan boi comment, but I was not serious.(I promise my favorite d!ck head, Arkham will use this as me being a fan boi in his next post.) No seriously I don't know what build this game is but the aliens standing around had me lauging my azz off. I looked the scope of the game though and I think I actually seen more than 4 to 6 people in the screen. You have to look in the backgrounds. I think it will be crazy to see all the people this game can handle when it comes out. I think the game will be fun. I just feel from WATCHING this video that you won't feel like you are shooting someone. I mean dude shot that alien with like two full clips and he knelt down and got right back up. Either they some bad azz aliens are they knew Master Chief or Gordon Freeman to kick there ass. All in all I believe that the game will have a respectable first appearance.
