$60 for regular and $85 for collectors? $25 extra for collectors seem a bit pricey to me considering what it comes with...

Rugludallur3894d ago

M$ did much better with the 120$ cat helmet :P

calis3894d ago

A Helmet that didn't fit.

I come from norway and i belive this game is gonna cost about 100-120$
over here. So 60 and 85 is cheap i think. Also this is called collectors edition, and therfor Should cost more, orelse everybody would buy it and it wouldnt be a collectors item..

I'm also from Norway, and I have to agree with this guy! (Rugludallur)

It's a collectors edition, not just a normal edition. Not a limited Edition (Okey, maybe it is, but whatevah :P )

But it's a collectors edition and it should cost more and they don't make many : )

Because you live in Norway and it cost you more, does not mean it is cheaper for Americans to buy the game. Fact is, there is buying power based on income. Norwegians make more money per hour (tax the sh*t out of ther citizens). Thus the higher price is justified in Norway. In terms of buying power, they cost the same in both countries.

A limited collector's edition is rarely limited at launch. It is only limited in sense that it stops production after the initial stock is delivered to the store, but plenty are made. In some cases, i.e. Rainbow Six Vegas LE is still sold on I'm almost certain manufacturers are still making LE for RB6V. If you like LE (like I do), buy it and enjoy. Just don't expect them to be worth anything.

i dont care if it cost that much im still getting it

ikiru33853894d ago

i don't get it.....if MGO is a "full and complete" version then why is it called a "starter pack"?

xionpunk3894d ago

Just because there will be additional maps to add to the game later on.

Let's hope Konami release some kind of tool to allow user generated content.

SuperSaiyan43894d ago

Lots of disagrees looks like PS3 owners are very happy at paying $25 just for an extra disc.

In regards to the Halo 3 Legendary Edition its a collectable Helmet and weapons cache along with an additional dvd and the game.

gambare3894d ago

because you were happy to pay $120 for a helmet that didn't fit or $85 for a scratched disk

juuken3894d ago

Please, keep Halo out of this conversation. We're actually talking about MGS4 here. You had your time when it was hyped to freakin' death.

jke823894d ago

people buy the special editions and stuff ONLY IF THEY WANT the extras it comes with you justify paying 120 for all the stuff you got with your halo se YOU see that all being worth it. just like all the poeple that buy the SE of any game buy it because they want the extras and they dont mind the extra each his own man
