Flashback is a HD remake of the 1992 SEGA Megadrive game of the same name. Primarily a science-fiction platformer, the game also incorporates puzzle elements as well as timed events and armed combat. The game remains faithful to its roots while incorporating new cutscenes, voice acting, and smoother gameplay.

i played the crap out of this game on the original Amiga 500! bought it on launch and its pretty damn impressive. not a bad remake.

Disappointed to hear...I played it at the Ubisoft Autumn Days event and liked it, although the Unreal Engine 3 controls felt a bit clunky.

memots4315d ago

You played it and like it , why do you care what a reviewer that obviously does nt have the same taste in gaming than you is saying ?

Not against you particularly but I am so tired of people writing off game because someone else told them thy dint like it

ZacE4315d ago

I haven't written it off...I'm disappointed to hear that someone else didn't like it. Chill out.

I have zero faith in the execution after how bad that remake was.

Doesnt need a sequel.

Snookies121504d ago

I was so excited for the remake too... I loved the original so much. Maybe they can prove us wrong, but after the remake I don't have any real expectations for this either.

MadLad1504d ago

Yeah.
Highly doubt they're going to catch lightning in a bottle twice.
It was very much a product of it's time. Unless they have some real talent, we're going to end up with a disappointing, needless sequel.

Flashback Mobile Review: Hardcore Droid

In it, you travel the universe in the year 2142 with amnesia stricken protagonist Conrad while he dives headlong into an insidious alien plot. This game will no doubt prove a time capsule of memories for some and nothing can ruin that. However, for those of you who have never played the original, Flashback Mobile offers a somewhat different experience.

This game was cutting edge on debut. I want to think I may have had this on 3DO, can’t remember. Maybe SegaCD.
