PS4 Command & Conquer hinted at by Victory Games

Victory Games’ Jon Van Canegham has hinted the studio could release a PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version of its free-to-play Command & Conquer game.

The comments come during an interview with VideoGamer.com at Gamescom, where Canegham was asked whether the strategy title could make the transition to mobile platforms in light of Frostbite Go.

I wish they would go back to the old C&C. The one for the PS3 I picked up the week it came out. Mind blowing not the same as the PS1 days. I couldn't get the controls to even work right. The game bombed hard also on the console, which was not a surprise. But I had countless hours on the PS1 games.... Skirmish for days, weeks, years!

I bought two PS1 with the connection link cable just to play this game head to head. Still have it all!

I used to play Red Alert 3 a lot, how does it stack up to the old ones?

I have these. I would say these are far less complicated most certainly! But man, they are fun. You against 3 computer teams. I would build up some killer forts before doing any attacking.

Then I got this one for the PS3 right when it came out. Man, strong learning curve on the controls, lol.

Red Alert was just amazing back in the day. I wish I still had my original cases.

@ HammadTheBeast

Not very well.

Red Alert 1/2 + the expansions was C&C during its glory days.

I sure hope they do port it to the PS4. I played C@C Red alert 3 and besides RUSE there hasn't been any good RTS games on consoles.

C&C 3 tiberium wars is my best rts game for consoles. You should check it out.

christrules00414311d ago

I don't have a 360 anymore because I got RROD. I would check it out but I'm not going to buy a 360 with the PS4 just around the corner.

With the 360 there was actually a Lord of the Rings RTS game that I got the RROD on. I gotta say though I would love for a star wars RTS game. It would be something new and just overall different. Spider walkers and stuff like that would be the sh!t to be able to command around.

The first C&C games I ever played were C&C Tiberium Wars & Kanes Wrath on the XB360. Then Red Alert on the PS3. I really hope they bring it to the PS4, because the Gamescom gameplay and E3 trailer looked amazing.

Red_Devilz4311d ago

I hope it is better than C&C on PS3.

Could I use a wireless keyboard and mouse? If not then lets do this. The only reason I want a gaming pc is for strategy games, because its just not the same with a controller.

JsonHenry4311d ago

I would love to see the game on PS4 with keyboard and mouse support. And since it is free to play I think it would bring in a lot of new RTS gamers that never touch PC gaming and don't know what they are missing.

Khajiit864311d ago

Im a gamer I need to mix it up. Sony needs to add keyboard and mouse support for games if they have not planned it already.

JsonHenry4311d ago

I hope they allow for Keyboard and mouse support.

Not sure it's 'as bad' as CP2077 as far as crashing and whatnot. It's just not as good of a game, so that makes the issues stand out more.

There's full walkthrough out there if you want to see the game for yourself: https://www.youtube.com/wat...

If your model is a bigger world with monthly content, the initial IP for this structure has to be great!
It doesn’t have to be long, and the cheapest the better, but it’s a good concept.
Create a game that’s solid and sell for cheap and offer monthly content for a price. But no one will buy it if the first entry is terrible.
