GamR Mag Writes: "Today, Gamescom 2013 began in Cologne, Germany. So far there have been a ton of announcements coming from all camps including Sony, Microsoft, Electronic Arts and more. For this weeks edition of Tuesday’s Top Ten, we decided to focus on Gamescom, and bring to you the ten most exciting announcements coming from Europe’s biggest gaming conference."

What the? This article is ridiculous. Number 1 is a memory card price drop? And an announcement that PS+ will be free for the first two weeks (you mean like deals that come with games all the time?) Then it lists exclusives that don't matter, but skips Fable? Whoever wrote this either wasn't paying attention or is just insanely biased.

9. Sony’s Continued Support of Indie Games

The main focus of Sony’s Gamescom conference had to be the continued focus on the indie game community. Sony announced multiple exclusive titles coming to the PS4 and Vita, as well as highlighted their development and financial strategies for these games.

Meanwhile, no mention of the Indie support that was announced on the X1 and that every developer gets 2 free dev kits vs Sony dev's getting a 1 year trial dev kit with the option to pay $2500 for it at the end of that year.

No bias at all.

Exactly, it's pretty much gotten to the point on this site that if there is an opinion piece, you know right away it's by some Sony fanboy that has no clue what they are talking about, or intentionally skips all positive XB1 news and focuses on PS4 minor victories.

But then again, I guess it's what you'd expect if they are following Sony's lead...instead of focusing on facts and actual news...just talk bad about MS instead...who cares if it's true or not...and feel free to ignore all the good aspects of MS.

Or ......they may have a different opinion to you , i know that may come as a shock , but you will get used to it.

I don't mind different opinions, it's what makes this world what it is, having opposing sides is a GREAT thing, it keeps the world centered and advancing....however, what I do find annoying is when people have opinions that are not based on fact and try to force it on others. I get that it's their opinion, my opinion just says that this is clearly biased for no reason.

The Problem with Hype

"Think of the last E3, or the last Gamescom, or the last Tokyo Game Show. What was the main thing shown at the press conferences held there? The trailers, gameplay videos, and everything else shown are done so to get you excited about a certain game that they want you to be more interested in. If the trailer is well-done and people like it, the hype of the game goes up and people talk about it more and more. But what happens next? More trailers and details for the game are released, just hyping you up more until the game comes out. But sometimes, when the game comes out, it’s not everything you expected. It’s not as fantastic as you had hoped. It’s not all that it’s hyped up to be. "
