The Controller Online writes: "The creative minds behind F.E.A.R and No One Lives Forever have formed an independent studio they’re calling Blackpowder games and today we’re going to have a look at their first title. Betrayer is another game that is hard to nail down in terms of genre. It is played form a first person perspective, and there is some shooting, but Betrayer isn’t about killing hordes of enemies. As it is though, Betrayer is a gorgeous game with plenty of atmosphere – but also a lot of frustration."
