Shouldn't these awards happen at the end of the year when all the games are out *cough Gears of war* *cough COD3*

But it's a great RPG though and definately deserved that prize.

...the dates are always ahead of the calendar. All of your sports games are released months ahead...2007 games are out NOW. Your magazines are 1-2 months ahead, which means most info is AT LEAST that old, by the time you read it. These awards have always been done the same way.
And yes, G.O.W. will likely receive this award next year. ;)

this is but one of countless contests and awards. i had Oblivion, but sold it on ebay after about a month of owning it...i like more traditional turn-based rpgs. if any game should've won it should've been GRAW or Resident Evil 4...though the latter actually came out in 2005, not 2006.

this game is definitely deserving of the award.

"Yo Wassup" I am pretty sure that GoeW and COD3 will be considered for next years game of the year not this year given the late release dates as I am sure they were not included in the ballots for this years game choices.

I'm sure they will, it just makes more sense to hold these comps at the end of the year. It's the same with movies, and heck some Christmas television that isn't lame '40s movies would be fun.

The game got funner the more you played it. I found stuff in the game when exploring after I have beat everything in the game that I havent seen before. Like the Huge troll that ate that women whole and killed her husband at the top of the mountain. You actually could take every piece of her body out of the troll. Also there was a diary at i found there to telling me everything that happened. Just crazy stuff man, if you have beaten the game you havent seen everything still probably so look around more you will be suprised what you run into.
They deffinately deserve a reward for that game and they knew just what they where going for.

have you found the giant 15 ft crab in the cave? It's a mud crab but like 15 feet across, has the same stats though.

I haven't picked up Oblivion since I checked out the vile lair. I am looking forward to the next quest coming up soon. My elf assassin is always ready to whip some more ass. I hope they still have developers focusing on Oblivion content instead of their new FPS. Man, stick to what you know!

Havent found the giant crab yet, but i have found the giant slaughter fish about 15 feet long

Sweet I havent found the crab yet either thats cool. I did run into the giant slaughterfish though scared the hell out of me, I was a low level when I ran into it and my gear wasnt all that good.

I also found a the goblin man which you find him in a cave living with the goblins and he even gots a little hut built down in there.

oblivion is a great game and if your one of those unfortunate people that haven't gotten to play that exciting rpg you really have to play it to see how amazing it is.
