Should have been done a long time ago. Metal Gear Online had females, customized outfits/hair, etc. Why is it so hard for COD to do ACTUAL new things, instead of doing old things that others have already implemented. Even their "revolutionary" fish AI was seen in games like Ecco the Dolphin (Genesis) and Super Mario 64 (N64).

Even the sliding has been done on Far Cry 3 and Killzone 3 before (and others). What took them so long to finally add it to COD?

Well, then what revolution BF4 has?

DICE is always one step behind, they don't have the balls to implement "new" things in their game. They had commander mode in BF2, they had their chance to keep it in BFBC2 and BF3 but no, they simply dropped this feature until they saw Black ops 2 had strike force missions, which is kind of a commander mode rip-off.
Leaning out is not a new feature, but i bet the next new feature in BF5 will be the lean out.

There is hours of BF4 multiplayer gameplay, and apart from graphics i saw no revolution. A collapsing skyscraper and exactly the same game mechanics as in BF3.

New water physics. Previous games had flat water, now there are rough seas, makes battles on the water a lot more tricky and realistic.
New ways to destroy buildings and scenery to your advantage. You couldnt collapse a road, dropping a tank into an underground car park in previous games.
More realistic buildings with elevators in them.

Sounds better to me than fish that swim away from you (Super Mario had that feature) and a dog.

what wars are you talking about? Last time i checked women still arent in SF/SO or direct combat or apart of the draft in U.S. They also have lower qualifications then man to get into the military. Only in tv/movies and games in reality wemon only make up 18 to 20 percent of military. The U.S. is trying to allow wemon into combat but they havent implemented because they don't know how to without lowering the standards.

Actually the ban of women participating in direct combat in the US army has been lifted on Jan 2013.

Besides, Israel (a country with very strong and well trained military) for an example have women that participate in direct combat.

I stated they are trying implement a non gender military but we don't have wemon in combat arms yet because wemon and men have different PT (physical fitness standards) The chief of staff of the army is trying to implement it. its like the Affordable Care Act (obamacare). It became law in 2010 but they are still trying to implement it. Im sorry but these are the facts It sounds good in the media but facts on the ground are different plus most woman don't want to be in ground combat. Most people who want wemon in combat have never served and never wanted too they just like how it sounds. Also dark i stated U.S. not israel. U.S. has the strongest military and its a volunteer military. You didnt prove anything i said was wrong you just restated it and move to another country off topic.

It's doesn't mean that there is not a strong bias and gender stereotypes that hindered female contribution in the military and it's never too late to change. After all, it wasn't very long time ago when women weren't even allowed to vote.

I brought up Israel because they are a good example of a strong military with female soldier on almost every position in the military, and you can't deny that the Israeli army is one of the best trained for combat in the world, and besides, there are many reasons why US army is the strongest in the world, but not including female soldiers in combat is not one of them. In fact it could benefit the US army even further.

I think I know why. Because they can't design female characters w/o relying on technology to do the work for them. If they simply added females before, guys are going to complain about how ugly they look. It's distracting. As for guys, they don't mind if they're all ugly.

if they're going for realism in these things then having female soldiers is absolutely appropriate.

there are a few militaries that have female soldiers fighting on the front lines, and some other countries have announced plans to allow women into all parts of the service within a few years.

so there's likely to be female soldiers in these near future settings.

now if only they could feature a woman in the campaign mode instead of just multiplayer.

Honestly it makes sense to allow character customization for many games - gender, age, race, size etc. but it can and will bring some uncomfortable situations to games from time to time
