Project Phoenix Soars With Over $300,000 Raised

Project Phoenix is an ambitious project led by Hiroaki Yura who worked on Valkyria Chronicles and Diablo III. The game is a real time strategy game blended with JRPG elements. Project Phoenix’s main character is Marcus, an angel with amnesia, who travels through the land of Azuregard. Yoko Enoki is writing the story and Final Fantasy XII artist Kiyoshi Arai is the art director.

Is it silly that I'm hoping this game will be turn based? I miss the old school turn based RPGS, like, FF6,7,8,9,10, chrono trigger, the Star Ocean games for PS1, I NEED IT BACK!

Nevermind...I just read the kickstarter page..."squad based RTS game design", not into it anymore.

I know what you mean.
It seems people view turn based combat dated and boring these days. I think it can work really well when done properly. I thought Final Fantasy X had a really good system.

That's what I wanted to see also if it's going to be turn-based but although it isn't I'll w8 to see how exactly is the battle system before I loose interest, I mean it have so many talented people behind it it must be good.. anyway I hope the battle system is interesting & that it have some strategic element to it.

Generally I don't like turn based. If they do turnbased like PERSONA 3&4 or Ni No Kuni:Wrath of The White Witch then I'm fine.
