Ian DeMartino of GameWoof writes: "VectorUnit’s Riptide GP2 has been as close to universally praised by critics and fans alike as any racing game to ever grace mobile devices. I was no different, giving it five out of five woofs in its recent review. However, there have been some minor issues with the much anticipated online features. Everything has been running fine as far as finding matches and them running smoothly, however players have been having trouble figuring out how to race with more than two players online while using the quick match feature. I emailed VectorUnit about the problem before going to publish my review and got in contact with Ralf Knoesel, CTO and Co-founder of Vector Unit. He filled me in on where the problem originates, how they plan to fix it and what players can do now to get around it."
GamingLives takes a look at Vector Unit's water-based racing game.
"What Riptide GP2 lacks is both the production values and sheer excitement of Hydro Thunder. This is more a game of skill and judgement rather than a balls-out racer, and with no shortcuts to make the tracks interesting, everything soon gets pretty samey out there on the water."
