Sonic Unleased Not Connected to Those Shit Sonic Games

Never mind that Sega's crack legal team already confirmed Sonic Unleashed, Official Nintendo Magazine (UK) has a world exclusive! The Wii game will be out this winter, use the Wii-mote and Nunchuk, but won't have online, it seems. Fair enough, the game seems like an old school Sega platformer - a good thing. Says the game's lead designer, Yoshihisa Hashimoto:

"In our minds, this game will have more in common with the older Sonic Adventure series. It has no relation to Sonic the Hedgehog [the 360/PS3 game] or Sonic And The Secret Rings... We wanted Sonic fans to love Sonic even more. Also, for people who are not familiar with Sonic, we think that this will be a great way to introduce them to Sonic The Hedgehog."

The story is too old to be commented.

Every time I read "Unleased" instead of "Unleashed" for these Sonic articles, I feel like punching the screen on my monitor.

... maybe this is the Sonic game we have been holding out for for the last 10 or so years..?

Sonic is a 2D game at heart. Here's hoping this is Sonic's great come back.

Knowing that this started out a sequel to Sonic Adventure 2 makes me feel a lot more excited that a good Sonic is on the way.

Don't know about the Werehog yet but I'm confident enough to say that this is probably the Sonic game we all have been waiting for.

That makes no sense? Considering many of the past offerings of the Sonic games are indeed the word used in the heading, we can only love Sonic more if Sega put the love into their games in the first place and made Sonic want he used to be like in the old days on the mega drive / Genesis!
