"Before I spur my horse of ideas and get rolling, lets just say that this is how I simply feel for the title and how I see things happening for the story line. I believe Red Dead Redemption is what every PC gamer has missed until now; because RDR is the reason why Rockstar Games will forever be etched in my memory. It may not be a life changing title for everyone, but I can totally claim that I have not experienced anything as Red Dead, before and after. Naughty Dog’s The Last Of Us may have made me sob a little bit in the beginning, but Read Dead has made me fall in love with a character, and in a flash took it away from me. I have always moved on from the end of a title to the beginning of another, but with Red Dead Redemption, I was left with a glass of scotch in my left hand and a handkerchief full of tears and questions in the other.
Starting of this week, speculations arose of an upcoming sequel/prequel to Rockstar Games’ Wild West encounter – Red Dead Redemption. Take Two, the distributor, may have dropped a hanky on the ground last July when they spoke hopefully of a Red Dead Return. But it was when CEO Strauss Zelnick commented the following that actually made real news all across the internet: “Our goal is to try to create permanent franchises, that’s the unique goal in the industry. Our competitors do not see it that way. Our competitors’ view is that our franchise will have a certain life, and at the end of that life, you move onto the next thing – so you better make hay while the sun shines. Our view is to the contrary: The best franchises are permanent franchises. Look at James Bond, for example. And it’s been our goal not just to preserve and grow the Grand Theft Auto franchise, but also to build other franchises that we think can be permanent, whether that’s the Red Dead franchise or the Borderlands franchise or the BioShock franchise or others; Civilization, for example.”
The voice actors for Arthur Morgan and Charles Smith have vaguely confirmed a claim by Rob Wiethoff (voice of John Marston) that big news related to the Red Dead franchise will be coming "before Friday."
I hope it's a remake of the 1st game. But it's probably just the PS5 version of Red Dead Redemption 2
I hope a PS5 upgrade launches on the same day as announcement & it costs no more than $10. I already bought the Ultimate Edition once, they got good money from me.
I stopped playing completely 2 years ago until they did 60fps. I really didn't expect it would take this long & I didn't want to start completely over on PC.
My wish is that its optimized for current gen machines, with some sort of story expansion. Undead nightmare 2! My 2nd wish is that it just shadow drops on the day of the announcement!.
During a livestream on his personal Twitch channel, Rob Wiethoff (who voices John Marston in the Red Dead Redemption series) hinted at "exciting news" to be revealed next week. According to Wiethoff, the news will be announced "before Friday".
PS5/Pro/Switch 2 version of RDR2 seems most likely. I’d love a RDR3 but that seems years away
Their contracts are iron clas if they leak anything legit they are threatened with immense legal action.
My hopes for what this is are minimal its probably a meet and greet with the cast
I dont see why they would be involved in a upgraded version of rdr2 when the dialogue hasn't changed
The PlayStation 3 is Sony’s most interesting home console ever, but what’s most interesting of all is trying to nail down the very best games on a console with hundreds of incredible games. Let’s give it a shot.
Sly Thieves in Time
Stay the Party
Portal 2
Dj Hero
Demon’s Souls
God of war Ascension
I've noticed a recent nostalgia for the PS3 and I don't get it for me it's been my least favourite generation to date and I've been gaming since the NES I just feel like the ambition of the developers outweighed the capabilities of the consoles so I remember lots of games running in the lower end of 20fps range and I remember for the first time ever actually disliking the duelshock 3 and it's curved triggers
Sure there were some standouts and great games but that's the only gen I switched entirely to PC gaming
I don't want a sequel, but another game set 5 years after the first one with a different main character.
they should make it were you have your own ranch and you have to protect it from bandits and what not like in the old west movies. make a true western out of it cause there just isn't any that's why rd is so popular anyways. not the action but just because its the only good western open world game there is.
