TheLateNightGamer.com: Since my real very first game isn’t really worth talking about, I’ll focus this article on the first game I beat, which was Rugrats: Search for Reptar for the Playstation 1. The game came out in the golden age of Nickelodeon, long before they turned down Adventure Time so they could air Fanboy and Chum-Chum.One of the biggest things I loved about this game is that the levels followed the plots of episodes that had actually aired on the show. I guess for the age group this game was aired at, familiarity is always a big selling-point. I’m just glad that this game used stories from the source material instead of pop culture references that no 3 year-old could ever hope to understand.
Alex & Mike talk Biomutant, a game from Experiment 101/THQ Nordiq you likely have not heard of. Drawing on inspirations as varied as Dark Souls, third person shooters & kung fu cinema, Biomutant is Ratchet & Clank on acid, developed by a team of 20 people.
Remember THQ? They published such games as Avatar: The Last Airbender, Darksiders I & II, the Destroy All Humans series, Homefront, the Red Faction series, and Saint's Row 1-3. Almost as famous as their games were the THQ marketing stunts, including a Golden Wii.
PlaySation gamers are in for a treat today! Not only did Sony roll out its “Double Discount” PlayStation Store sale, but there’s also a THQ Humbe Bundle PS4 discount happening too!
The show itself is terrifying
One of the most underrated PS1 games. I thought it would just be nostalgic, but it holds up today. So much fun!
I didn't watch the show much, but I had a great time playing this at a friend's house.
