Monster Hunter Frontier G for PS3 and Wii U Gets its First Spectacular Trailer

Capcom announced yesterday that Monster Hunter Frontier G will be released for PS3 on November the 20th and for Wii U on December the 11th, in Japan of course, and today the publisher revealed the the game’s dedicated trailer.

But seriously, Monster Hunter Tri had graphics that good on the Wii. This isn't very impressive graphics wise.

That's because it was originally released in 2007. The graphics haven't been changed since then.

The game is great, but if you have been playing MH3U, it will feel like a downgraded version because of the lack of MH3 monsters, underwater battles, switch axe, etc. It would like playing MHF2 again.

This game won't get a western release, the series just isn't as popular outside of Japan. If they were to release outside of Japan, they would have to drop the subscription and it just wouldn't as profitable... This is why the servers for previous MH games have been shut down in western countries, because it's not P2P.

They are dropping the subscription for PS3 and Wii U. It either comes with free online download and play, or packaged with 60 days of premium.

If it's anything like the original MHFO, they will cap the game to a specific HR. Can't remember how low it was, but I think the Yian Kut Ku was the strongest monster you could fight without a subscription.

Don't get me wrong, though. Tri was an epic game, and what they pulled off on the Wii was incredible. I'd probably be getting this even if it had PS1 graphics, I like Monster Hunter games that much.

This game is old as hell that is why. It is from 2007, it was first released on PC and was later put on Xbox 360 in 2010. Did poorly on both systems, it was only popular for a short while.

I see no reason for Capcom to have brought this one back. I really don't. Of course it is purely to cash in on, cause they know everyone can't get enough of Monster Hunter. So why not milk the fuck out of it.

I mean it just pisses me off a little. Crapcom constantly makes excuses as to why they won't put Monster Hunter 4 on anything other than the 3DS but then they can port this crap to Wii U and PS3? That kind of shit really irritates me, it is blatantly obvious what they are doing. Like I said, milking..

It's a game with a large fanbase coming to Wii U, rather than ignoring it. I think that means the consoles game catalog is going to grow, and sales are going to go up. Just maybe.

Wow, I was always hoping that Frontier would make it's way to the PS3. Now that it has, Capcom still probably won't release it in the West. Why are you doing this to me Capcom? Why are you ruining all your franchises, or making it difficult for me to play them?

There are so many monsters, armors and weapons to build in this game. So many creatures that are unique to this Monster Hunter that I would love to hunt, and all of that on the PS3, which me and all my friends have and play routinely. You would essentially grab all the PSP players, and turn them into PS3 players, which is what Tri on the Wii failed to do.

Finally being released on Playstation 3 after Final Fantasy XIV: ARR launches, especially with the well received beta review. The game has will follow a MMORPG model (also a rumoured pay to play service)?

They would have made a killing if they did this before Monster Hunter Tri or at least simultaneously, however it took a drop in profits to finally shake them up when alternatives already have cemented themselves in gamers wallets.

Oh, I guess you are right and wrong 'bout that at the same time, sure having a game like this come out sooner on the PS3 would have been very profitable, but you have to remember that releasing MMPORPG on the PS3 hadn't been done before when Tri~ came out, let alone in 2007, why is that? IDK, maybe they thought it would be too much a risk.

I still don't see how could FFXIV affect a game like Monster Hunter, even if they're both MMORPGs, those get released on Japan all the time and they usually sell well, so I imagine a game like Monster Hunter should have no problems finding its way into the hearts of our Japanese fellas.

Besides, if this fails, only Capcom is to blame and they will(should) take notes regarding such business practice... Or not... Who am I kidding? Capcom never learns...

I am sorry but that is crap. They couldn't even at least upgrade the graphics a little. Just toss in some new content and resell it. Mainly just weapons and armor.

Good ol Crapcom. Don't work on putting Monster Hunter 4 on consoles or anything just do this instead.. Awesome, milk those teats. You guys never cease to amaze me lately.

I will stick with MH3U on Wii U. Seriously no point in playing a downgraded version that is much older and could possibly require a subscription. Even if it doesn't have a sub, there is still no reason to play it on Wii U unless you are just a fanatic who has to play every single Monster Hunter.

Can't imagine people playing MH3U would want to just move over to this either.
