Analog Addiction writes: "Electronic beats rise around me, reminiscent of a night on the town. This club is different though. The wall up ahead is coated with blood, one stain forming a single world – “why?” I cautiously move ahead, experiencing the intense feeling of being watched. Several cameras are perched high up on the building, the goggles on my head stay green, telling me I am out of sight. What is this place? Why am I here? Where is the exit?
Up ahead is a computer console. The shadows remain my home, but the computer is within the light. My foot reluctantly steps into the light, causing my goggles to beam red. Before I can react, I am killed in a flash of light. Almost simultaneously, like the world is mocking my own rookie mistake, texts begin to form on the blood stained wall – “Am I making this too hard on you?”
This is the world of Stealth Inc. A Clone in the Dark: a world where the intense environments aren’t afraid to mock your idiotic mistakes."
Stealth Inc., the nice platform game developed by Curve Studios now available on a variety of formats, can now be downloaded for free on the App Store.
Stealth Inc 2: A Game Of Clones is a challenging and fun puzzle platformer in which the character controls a clone trying to free itself and others from a testing facility. The game seems a like curious mix of the serious Xbox 360 arcade game, Shadow Complex, and the much loved indie game, Fez. It's undeniably cute, but the premise surrounding the puzzles and platforming exploration of the game can also be very dark.
A Game Of Clones was preceded by another play-on-words titled game called Stealth Inc: A Clone In The Dark. This first game was originally called, I kid you not, Stealth Bastard when it was originally released. In addition to a better title, A Game Of Clones is also a more robust and polished product than its predecessor.
The Short Pause staff updates their Top 10 favorite PlayStation Vita games just in time for the handheld's third anniversary. Did your favorites make the list?
Even though it didn't make our list this year, I just started playing Persona 4 Golden, and even though I'm not far enough into it to add to this list, I'm still pretty impressed with how much there is to do in that game, and it just keeps adding new things all the time! At this rate, I'm pretty confident it'll be on this list next year!
