Since its release in late June, action-platformer Rogue Legacy has been met with praise for its fun mechanics, unique roguelike elements, and charming humor. GamerNode Associate Editor Anthony LaBella recently had a chance to speak with Cellar Door Games’ Teddy Lee, one of the designers of the indie hit. The two discussed Rogue Legacy‘s development, Steam Greenlight, and the state of independent video games, among other things.

Hollow Knight was a masterpiece. I cared less for the arena combat (Gods, not in the in-game arena) but everything was tight and the exploration was extremely enjoyable. Absolute masters of their craft in level design. I hope Silk Song gives the bees a second chance since their area was only a short subsection.
