UK Charts: Gran Turismo 5: Prologue still leading

Gran Turismo 5: Prologue has managed to do what other great releases haven't been able to do since February: bump off Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games from top spot in the UK for more than two weeks.

Mario & Sonic's been leading the charge for two months now, only being bumped off now and again when a major game has been released, like Army of Two and Devil May Cry 4, but they've never been able to keep top spot for more than a week.

Also of note is Condemned 2: Bloodshot (360, PS3), which debuted at fifth place, and Dark Sector (360, PS3), which entered at 11th. Here are the rest of the top games in the UK for the week ending on April 5:

I have been saying that for a yr now. Once damage gets added via update expect another spike in sales. Unfortunately i like in US so i haven't been able to enjoy that GT goodness, however i am saving up for summer i want to get one of the racing cokpits thing. Bloddy nonsense costs like 250 bucks plus steering wheel 150 bucks. That is an Xbox360 elite right there which i have had my eye on for a while. :(

@the lazy one...erm you can...this is first ps3 game in europe where it came to no. 1 and bumped up the ps3 hardware figures as well...the correlation's there. and chart track also reported that ps3 was selling more even though x360 just had a major price cut...I think it's pretty safe bet to assume that GT is system seller...I mean its done it before in europe so why are people so surprised that it's done it again...it's a half finished game but it's still classy enough to sell systems...

GT5:P is one of the hardest game on PS3 so far. But that is a good thing. It lasts longer. Cant wait for Top Gear episode. I hope that Paris carpark will be one of them. lol.

Mario & Sonic is HORRIBLE. There's nothing special about that game other than it being another Wii Sports clone with mario & Sonic characters. And you know how annoying Wii online can be. It should be at the bottom of the charts and I hope Nintendo goes bankrupt when Both Microsoft and Sony respond with better waggle bullshit and more innovation than them.

Pretty good for a game averaging 81 on metacritic. LOL 81. lets take a look at some of the comments from various reviews.....

I've said this before and I'll say it again..at least they told us up front this was a prolouge and priced it accordingly...there are sequels that have come out on both systems (not just x360) that I can't fully justify as a full sequel...e.g. rainbow six vegas 2, it should be called 1.5 really, halo 3 (really ought to be called Halo 2 2007 edition), pes 2008 (the ps3 version should just go back to the drawing board, though admittedly the patches did sort some things out) amongst a whole host of others...and remember if you bought it, you bought it at full price!
