Digital Extremes "would love to see Warframe on Xbox One"

PS4 and PC free-to-play shooter may yet appear on Microsoft's next gen console, given a change in publishing policies.

What with this, Titanfall, Destiny, etc, I'm kind of feeling a bit science-fictioned out now. Never thought I'd say it, but I yearn for the days of the WW2 shooter.

Someone should make caveman warfare game, where you only have clubs and rocks and stuff, and your in like a really thick forest, trying to expand your village size and you could trade and war with other villages.

dirigiblebill3990d ago

Knowing games developers, they'd find a way to ensure that all the clubs have an ironsights view, with the option to buy different coloured-rocks at 99p a pop.

Oh, you know what will happen - people will camp until they get the Pterodactyl Gunner killstreak and then they'll get to 25 kills and set off Tactical Volcano.

GMWPS33990d ago

You know what, I actually find this idea interesting! It would be a refreshing change. :-)

Lionhead was working on such game back in the day. It was called B.C and was supposed to come out on original XBOX. I was soo loking forward to it, it looked amazing for it's time!. Got cancelled later on , but beta was still shown. Look it up!

Thirty3Three3990d ago

...Yearn? Glad to know that word survived the 18th century.

Menech3990d ago

Such a hipster, maybe you should invent a new word instead.

Is that contemporary enough for you, or do you prefer more intellectual sounding verbage to accompany you, while you insult others' vocabulary?

"but I yearn for the days of the WW2 shooter."

You mean FTP games like war thunder?

Already got TitanFall and Destiny on Xbox One. I wouldnt cry if Warframe never came to the Xbox. Dont need every shooter out there, a couple of quality ones will suffice. Especially that Halo 5 will be coming in 2014.

StoutBEER3990d ago

@Kanses Hahahaha made me laugh out loud XD

UnholyLight3990d ago (Edited 3990d ago )

You sir, echo my thoughts the last two years. Now is the time I figure. With the power of the PS4 and Xbox One a new WWII game could really bring FPS to a whole new level. I remember when I was 11 and played CoD 2 on an Xbox 360 demo station. Never had I ever seen such a glorious sight (me being a huge history buff and owning a Gamecube last gen).

I can only imagine reliving that moment again. Sometimes the best stories to tell are the ones routed in reality. Not to mention the CoD 4 era to today has spawned way too many "me-too" Modern shooters.

As a f2p title, it makes sense. Microsoft and their policies tryed to screwdriver gamers and developers. The did a 180 for gamers, will they do the same for developers?

You don't agree with him. Okay. Just don't call someone a 'retard' just because you don't agree with them. I've seen you post that same one-worded comment on another article and it's not good at all.

Some people out there actually have a sibling or friend who's mentally challenged. That's not something to mock.

How would you like it if I called you something like that?

Reported you.

Colzer013990d ago

Finally, you're back! You know, I'm the xbox version of you

Crazay3990d ago (Edited 3990d ago )

It's coming to XBoxOne. My friend works there and the talks are very much taking place to make it happen.

Anyone who disagrees care to explain why?

Thirty3Three3990d ago

1) It's highly unlikely they work for MicroSoft
2) You have tits in your picture, sir. With jugs like those, I don't see how anyone could take your word seriously.
