Besides its great graphics and smooth as butter controls, I appreciated the technical side with zero glitches, no loading screens, and never getting stuck or wondering what to do next. Although not completely open world, I like being able to disengage from the story and go exploring, much like Far Cry 3, (but with a much cooler bow).

The Last of us is an amazing story, but it did have it's share of glitches and minor annoyances, such as ellie running circles around enemies unnoticed, and not being able to scavenge guns/ammo/gear from cops or pick up a perfectly nice butcher knife from a house.
