Ultra Street Fighter IV: New Stages Revealed to be Ports From SFXT

How lazy can a company be to port over content from one game into another and release that as a new title for 2014.

Ultra Street Fighter IV was revealed during EVO 2013 the past weekend and was said to include five new characters, as well as six new stages. Surprise, four of those new characters are Hugo, Poison, Rolento, Elena; just ports over from Street Fighter x Tekken.

Hahaha, oh Capcom... Little rascals. I'll always make sure to buy any of your games used. At least until you start showing that you actually somewhat care about customers, and not treat them like money sacks.

This version of street fighter 4 isn't for you. It for the hardcore fighting game fans that play it at evo. Second, they do care about their fans or they would not continue to update street fighter 4.

XtraTrstrL4308d ago

LoL, as long as there is easy money to be made by mainly porting characters/stages, and adding only 1-2 actual NEW characters, they'll put it out there and collect $$$$$$$. Just like they've always done.

Do you really think them making MvC3, then less than 9 months later, releasing UMvC3, that wasn't upgradeable and had to be bought again was actually fan service???

Godlovesgamers4307d ago

So "hardcore fighting fans at evo" like to be treated like "sacks of money" then?

Im curious, do you work for capcom somehow or are you just too ignorant to see how capcom is all about the "cash grab" in lieu of putting its customers first?

Welcome2Die4307d ago

No Mika, this version is for everyone. It has a new balanced cast and Capcom completely ignored the fan character request and instead they are cutting corners again.
This is a copy paste update, do not buy it.

kagon014308d ago

I will also do the same just like I did with AE edition...

fsfsxii4308d ago

Did the fans ask for this??

wishingW3L4308d ago

nope but many are gonna buy it anyway. That's why Capcom are like that....

fsfsxii4308d ago

And people keep moaning.
Why the disagrees?? As i remember a couple of days ago you guys said that the "FANS ASKED FOR THIS"
I say it again, did you guys ask for rehashed character models and rehashed stages?? A useless update, and people keep defending crapcom and they keep robbing you. Gamers these days.

KwietStorm_BLM4308d ago

As far as the balancing goes, yea they definitely asked for it. Did they really have to add """new"&qu ot;" characters? No, but of course they had to have a way to charge for the update.

SwiftArsonist4308d ago

if u buy the dlc for 15 bucks u get the stages, the characters but not the costumes? or we get everything?

-Mika-4308d ago

No, you only get the costumes if you buy the disc version of ultra SF4 which cost $30 or $40.

My_Name_BTW_Is_Dante4308d ago

So in other words...Ultra Street Fighter 4 is just a patch that's not worth paying for that happens to include stages & characters you can already play as from a different Street Fighter game.

Capcom fails.

GenericNameHere4308d ago

"Ultra Street Fighter 4 is just a $15 patch"

FIXED!

caseh4308d ago

Funny how CoD can release map packs over the space of a few months that cost more than the game itself and everyone rejoices 'OMG I can't wait to get teh maps!'

Capcom add characters, stages and a re-balance to a game for the same price of a map pack in CoD and everyone condemns them.

The difference being they don't do this every 2-3 months then release a copy+paste game, add an extra digit after the name and repeat the cycle of map packs.

XtraTrstrL4308d ago

LoL, so they ported the SFxTekken SF characters, and the stages are also ports. Wow, come one Capcom, sup wit dat?

Looking back to 2014 and Ultra Street Fighter IV

Jahanzeb writes: "It’s easy to make fun of fighting game revisions/expansions, but there’s no denying each entry bolstered the fighting roster and gameplay substantially, particularly with the swansong entry Ultra Street Fighter IV."

'After the release of Street Fighter III: Third Strike in 1999, Capcom took the cast of world warriors on a bit of a detour with the Street Fighter Zero/Alpha prequel series.'.

Alpha was released in 1995.
