According to a pair of psychology professors, Dr. John Charlton and Dr. Ian Danforth, being addicted to video games is a lot like what is experienced by sufferers of the social disorder called Asperger's Syndrome.
I work with kids that have Asperger’s syndrome, and let me tell you it is NOTHING even close man. I can't believe this was ever put into print... It shows either real ignorance of video games and the people who play them or ignorance to the extreme of what Asperger’s syndrome really is.
I have apsergers syndrome and have been playing video games since I was 7 I am 24 now.
My 5 year old has Asperger’s Syndrome and for that to be put into the same category as game addiction is a total load of bollox . Psychology Professors !?!?! more like Parapsychology ...good at seeing things that aren't there.
The average us gamer plays 7.4 hours a week http://www.theesa.com/facts... Average us tv viewer watches 30.45 hours a week http://www.nielsenmedia.com... So, shouldn't the media be a little more worried about tv addiction than gaming addition?
