G.I. Joe: Battleground Review (Modojo)

John Bedford (Modojo): After dominating the app stores with the likes of Marvel War Of Heroes and Transformers Legends, it was only a matter of time until Mobage picked up another popular franchise to add to its stable of smash-hit battling games. On paper, G.I. Joe seems like the perfect match for the genre - loads of characters, factions at war with one another, and plenty of outstanding artwork just waiting to be brought to new life on touchscreens.

Kotaku - There'd Be No Fictional Independence Without G.I. Joe

Kotaku - He fights for freedom wherever there's trouble, G.I. Joe is here, on iOS and soon Android devices. Without the support of this top secret fighting force, multiple fictional universes would have been crushed under Cobra's fashionable heels, so I celebrate our U.S. Independence Day by playing a game released by a Japanese company that hopes we're so heavily invested in nostalgia that we'll heavily invest in virtual currency.

Mobage launches G.I. JOE BATTLEGROUND for the New Zealand App Store
