PlayStation Store currently "down for maintenance"

Darkzero writes: "It's seems like Sony are now starting whatever changes that need to be done to revamp the PlayStation Store, as a quick check on it right now reveals the "server is currently down for maintenance". We even took a photo of what we saw, as you can see above.

We don't expect it will be down too long though, as Sony already said that older games would be available until the new look was unveiled so this should be just temporary. But still, something must be happening behind the scene right now to aid in the change over."

Hopefully this 2-week down period, they'll come back with some security system to protect their users' credit card information.

I think your confusing the PC store for the PS3 store. It was the PC store only that suffered the security problem.

Probably not the last time this will happen over the next couple of weeks.

Wounldnt of made a difference my friend. Unfortuetly there will be NO new content uploaded onto the stores for the following few weeks untill the store is fully updated.

It will be worth the wait though Wood, thats a fingers promise.

2 weeks till "Still Alive" on Rock Band.. what a bummer.

New store that does not use Browser is effing sweet though... Sony always listens to its consumers
