The PlayRoom will come pre-installed with your PS4

The PlayRoom will help you learn the ropes and teach you everything you need about the new PS4 features. Together with a gang of helpful little robots you will try out the PlayStation 4 system’s DUALSHOCK 4 wireless controller, test augmented reality and break in the PlayStation Camera.

The story is too old to be commented.

This is a good idea but they aren't shipping the eye with every console anymore.

This is a really stupid move by sony. Having an application built into the PS4 that people can't use unless they have the camera? This also proves they were planning on releasing the camera with the system but removed it to have the price lower than X1.

Here's an idea, buy the camera and stfu.

Hicken1932d ago

It's an app that teaches you the ins and outs of the camera. Rather than increase production and shipping costs by even a penny by having it ship with the camera, why not have it pre-loaded on the system?

And, please, stop trying to pass off your delusions as fact.

Everyone's a critic. If you were to include the camera with the console everybody whines that they are forcing it down our necks and driving up costs on the console. Now they give us free stuff and people complain they don't include the camera with every console. They can't win.

Some folks are just miserable and will complain about anything, even free stuff. Me, I've got my PS4 on preorder and I will be buying the camera at launch. I support Sony. I can no longer support Microsoft, they have been fumbling and stumbling for a few years now and I'm bored by live gold and all the ads and the lack of exclusives late in the console cycle. I may one day buy the Xbox One, but probably only when they discover how to engineer a console without a power brick in a form factor that doesn't take up an inordinate amount of room in my entertainment setup. Oh, and give us a removable hard drive. And drop the price to a reasonable level. I could go on, but I'll stop there.
