sony, buy it.

Kanzes1937d ago

Persona 5 exclusive to PS4. I like that!

Saints941937d ago

Yes yes yes! Hope they keep it the same as well.

Godmars2901937d ago

To prop up the PSV.

Though they'd be giving up the 3DS market.

Come to think of it Nintendo could just as well buy them.

MegaLagann1937d ago

That would be awful. It would be awful if Sony bought them, it would be awful if Nintendo bought them, it would be awful if ANY game company bought them. First off they would lose some freedom, but most importantly, Atlus would no longer be a publisher. The good majority of games Atlus brings out over here they didn't do, they just got the publishing rights. So if any of these companies bought Atlus, say goodbye to games like Code of Princess, 3D Dot Game Heroes, King of Fighters, Shiren, Gungir, Knights in the Knightmare, Ys Legecay and more because if it wasn't for Atlus, none of these game would of come out over here. Best case scenario is that a non game company buys them out. Like Sammy with Sega or GunHo with GameArts.

Good god no, remain third party Atlus

tarbis1937d ago

Indeed. Sony's rpgs mostly are from 3rd party studios. Acquiring them would be a great investment giving themselves a 1st party that specializes in rpgs.

Atlus is a publisher in itself.
Whose to say they need to be bought? They could handle business themselves.

Godmars2901937d ago

The point is they're in a position to be bought.

Mind you, in a perfect world it would be nice if Sony bought them, but let them continue to release 3DS titles.

TedCruzsTaint1937d ago

I would think, in a perfect world, they would then remain independent and release their titles on every platform.
It would be better for gamers, and better for them as a company. Especially being a smaller one, considering they keep more of the profit for themselves.

MrSwankSinatra1937d ago (Edited 1937d ago )

Sony would be stupid not to buy atlas. it would make a great asset to their portfolio, especially in the asian markets.
