GR-UK writes: We talked to Assassin's Creed IV game director Ashraf Ismail at E3, who discussed a wide range of subjects regarding the return of Ubisoft's time-travelling series.

He talks stealing Far Cry 3 developers, as well as being influenced by the game's progression system ("we took a page from their book - the hunting, the harpooning is linked to how you upgrade Edward. We took a lot of the developers from FC3 into our team"), letting players getting stuck straight into the exploration ("we open the game world very early on - about an hour into the game, you have full access to the full Caribbean") increasing the game's difficulty ("we've made it so the enemies are slightly tougher.
