Here’s a Look at the New Mass Effect

Exactly. When they solicited ideas, I said, same universe, different story line. It doesn't have to be a "save all of humanity (and alienity?)" ideas. Just a great storyline with great characters.

Completely agree. Why play a prequel to a galaxy we know gets completely ruined after 3?

It might be ok to do what Dragon Age 2 did, having us experience events during the previous game(s) and then setting the rest of it afterwards, but failing to explain what happened after the end of three would be insulting to fans of the series.

The n4g system is a bit flawed because people see the newest submitted articles first and it should be the other way around.

Oh, but they do have full creative freedom. They just have to shave off a large chunk of important content to be released as day one DLC and use an EA-built system of always-online DRM.
