Tony Hawk Project 8 demo on Marketplace

As promised by Activision but with a little delay, the demo of Tony Hawk Project 8 has just been released at Xbox Live Marketplace. The full game will hit the US stores november 7th, Europe has to wait a little longer, november 17th will be their day.

The game will be released for Xbox 360, Xbox, Playstation 2, PSP and PS3.

I enjoyed the demo. Sometimes there will be a glitch here and there and your guy will go flying or it will slow down but it is most likely because it's a demo.

If you've played one you've played them all. Same same but different. Nice touch with "nail the trick", but it's far from revolutionary. Has anyone besides me spotted the weird option of adjusting your skaters speed? Whats the point of that??

Maybe because I haven't played Tony Hawk since Tony Hawk 2 ....haven't really messed with any options though ...but I think it looks and feels very nice and I love the "Nail the Trick" add on

I used to think like Jenzo when it comes to this type of games, but now this demo showed me some stuft that may make this game worth buying or worth playing over xbox live. Just give it a shot, unless ofcourse you don't have a 360, then wait for the PS3 version (ohh wait.. you will not be able to play it online).

No matter how much of a fanboy you are, you can't deny how great Xbox Live is. It's hard to put to words really, how great a service this is. I really really liked this demo. I was a bit skeptical about the file-size being so small, but I have to say it was alot of fun. The bullet time type mode, giving you control over each foot to is a great feature, and I think this TH game will regain alot of lost fans, you weren't too happy with THAW. The only problem I noticed was the way the faces look. Something about the faces seem really off, but other than that, this should be the best TH game yet

Hey I have a few questions if anybody who knows could possibly clear this up for me, I went out and randomly bought a new 50" Hi def TV today and well I have a HDTV now that I play my 360 on and I use the cables that came with the Premium package. But now my new TV has slots for VGA and all that, should I keep to component cables or will I get a better picture from VGA?

if you plan on using your xbox360 for DVDs and soon HD DVDs, the VGA cable would be your best option. The component cable which comes with the box gives you more color saturation with games, but VGA gives you a much sharper image. With VGA, you DVDs are also upscaled and when Microsoft releases the fall update, you'll have the option to upscale your games to 1080p too. Also, with the HD DVD add-on, you will get native 1080p via VGA. So, you win both ways with the VGA cable. hope that helps

VGA looks better. Why dont you try and get a VGA and find out for yourself? See if you can get a hold of one w/o buying it, then compare

Not knocking the game, but I am not into boarding at all but still figured I give it a shot. Well after about 10 minutes I realized this game is "NOT FOR ME".

I find it dull actually. Not saying it is a bad game, but hey .... to each their own I guess.

The ragdoll physics are way too fun in this game. I spent about 15 minutes trying to get the largest hospital bill I could. Eventually my friend got it to glitch out and the guy flew about 100 feet in the air and hit the invisible boundary to the map. Good times, I will need to rent this game.

if you skate or did for 25 years like me (knees are destroyed) you will love this game. Its the first one that had me trying to do things that might be possible in real life. Love the bullit time foot control that is the bomb. has the fun factor of the original two versions.
