This looks phenomenal. I hope Konami can hit there targets for this game, I'm really looking forward to it.

Don't really think Open-World will suit MGS, But whatever... I'll end up falling in love with it like with all MGS games ;)

Unicron3638d ago

I think it can, as you'll obviously still have mission goals (like saving Kaz, seen in the trailer). It's really going to depend on the systems like guards, vehicle patrols, etc

GentlemenRUs3638d ago

As long as they keep the Item windows and radar, Then I don't care =D

I think Kojima is one of the most perfectionistic people in the game industry. If he thinks MGS V has to be open world I would just trust him.

I really like that this Trailer is in 60 fps. How come you still can't upload 60fps videos on youtube?

ginsunuva3638d ago

Cause the only 60fps videos on Youtube would be some games.

MizTv3638d ago

I wonder if there will be a lvl up system?
I would like that

I think open-world will be PERFECT for MGS.

Remember that segment of MGS3 where you had to assault a small base in the jungle? With a radio tower and a heli? And if you blew up the radio tower, guards couldn't use their radios anymore?

Imagine having a game where you have to plan your assault on bases like that all the time. You can do it any way you want; observe guard patrols, plant explosives, prepare your escape route, etc.... It'll be glorious.

I personally think stealth is much more satisfying when it's not already planned to happen (when you don't follow a single route that devs have designed for you). Open-world stealth gives you a bigger sense of accomplishment

Well the first ten seconds of video that took a minute or two to load looked amazing!

FoxEngine is developed more for consoles than PC, so it doesn't matter to me. Ps3/Xbox 360/PC/Xbox One = 30fps,
Ps4 = 60fps

I_am_Batman3638d ago (Edited 3638d ago )

"Ps3/Xbox 360/PC/Xbox One = 30fps,
Ps4 = 60fps"

You can't say PC = 30fps cause it depends on the hardware you have in the PC. It may run at a way higher framerate on a high end PC.

GamePeace3638d ago

Like Planetside 2? Where People with GTX 680 run the game at 30fps? Man, we don't even know if the PC version will see daylight.

kevnb3638d ago

if the game can run at a steady 30 fps on current consoles, it can run at 60 on current mid range PC depending on settings. On pc people usualy play at much higher settings and resolution though. And Planetside 2 has nothing to do with it, the game wouldnt even run on current consoles in its current state.

Tundra3638d ago

PC games can run an unlimited amount of fps. In very rare occasions do developers lock the fps for PC.

GamePeace3638d ago

Yes, on the occasion of Dark Souls, one of my favorite games. I played Ps3 and PC, Ps3 was better. Then a modder comes and want his fps mod to be better than years of work from the devs on the game performance. I must laugh my ass off.

Tundra3638d ago

Then your reply to me contradicts your original comment. The FoxEngine is multiplatform engine aka it's designed to work with a wide range of hardware. Your favorite next-gen console is designed after the most common architecture for PC, x86. If the PS4 version is 60 fps, there's no reason for the PC version not to be the same or higher.

You also discredit modders for no apparent reason. They work on these mods because it's their passion.
