Microsoft has made a lot of mistakes the past couple of months with the Xbox One. But it's not to late to win us back.
The cuts are expected to be announced next week.
Microsoft is also planning thousands of job cuts that will impact other parts of it businesses
MFs has been beating their chests over great quarterly results and big profits to shareholders while firing people by the thousands just like Sony.
I wonder if at the top of those rumored layoffs they´ll also cancel upcoming or unannounced games while shutting down more studios as well.
AMD CEO Lisa Su talks about the Xbox AMD partnership, next-gen Ryzen + Radeon chips, and AI rendering tech coming to all Xbox devices.
AMD is really building hype around their unique partnership with Microsoft to help and build an advanced and seamless Xbox ecosystem across all Xbox consoles and devices.
I wonder what she meant by "full roadmap of gaming optimized chips" though? Seems ambitious.
Next year´s Xbox Showcase already looks promising and exciting. Here´s hoping they deliver.
Some odd, deliberate wording, no branding, not 'Xbox consoles, Xbox handhelds' specifically, feels and sounds like they're building towards hardware that anyone can be used or licensed to/by themselves and other manufacturers.
Multiplatform software and hardware 'Xbox/AMD APU'.
Shares vision....we provide chips for money, this deal will sell many chips, we will make lots of money...good vision
The marketing behind this is so heavy that I worry about the actual outcome. Why are they just not showing us the product, why all this talking in market speak?
With the launch of Call of Duty Season 4, Activision quietly put adverts inside loadouts for Black Ops 6 and Warzone, sparking a backlash in the process.
Putting Ads in a pay-to-play Premium title? Well done Microsoft. Well done /s This is really scummy.
Honestly, it'll be a sure buy from me if they can just provide us with an alternative to that 24 hr check. Maybe a disc-based check if online isn't available??
The execs from MS have gone very quiet lately. This can mean one of two things.
1. They just don't care about the backlash, simply putting it down to fanboy activity. However they should look at their own forum base and the kind of posts that have been submitted from what I would call their strongest allies.
2. They are getting together to plan a response and completely eliminate all the ambiguous bad PR. This does carry a flaw in that what they come out and say will be set in stone moving forward.
If they choose number two in a knee jerk reaction and defend what they are doing to the public and nothing is changing then that would be fatal for them.
If they delay coming out, it just makes the rumor machine get worse.
A very tricky situation for them. Looking back at the XBOX 360 they did launch with a flawed machine, ie: RROD / overheating issues. They chose to launch anyway knowing it was flawed... http://venturebeat.com/2008...
So that tells me they will stubbornly continue onwards as things stand.
Remember ZUNE + the DRM they shut down on users!!!! Is this an insight to what MS will do in the future???

No matter how many times "win us back" is brought up, it not going to change the fact that MS's own DRM policies is the main problem. Above all else that's going to be the thing that will likely do them in.
And because of the way they designed XBO, built DRM into its core function, they can't remove it.
Even if Microsoft does away with DRM and 24HR CHECK IN I would still never buy an Xbox One.
Required Kinect I have no interest in.
100k deposited to my bank account. Other then that, it's PS4 all the way
