Crusader Kings II: The Old Gods is the latest expansion for Crusader Kings II and is developed in house at Paradox Interactive. If you have Crusader Kings II and some of the older DLC then you know what to expect, nothing of a full expansion in scale, but still a sizable amount of content.
Crusader Kings II is a game that, at the time of writing, is three years old. Yet we are still seeing expansion after expansion for the game, and thanks to a number of steam and humble bundle sales the player base is still growing. The number one question I get asked is, how do you actually play it? Well, here are my Top 5 Tips for getting started in Crusader Kings II.
Crusader Kings II: The Old Gods expansion adds Vikings to your game, and an earlier possible start date of 867. Unlike with The Republic expansion, The Old Gods doesn’t significantly change the way you need to think in the game. What it does do however is adds a load of new features that see you take a slightly different style to gameplay.
GameDynamo - "With Crusader Kings II: The Old Gods, you can now control your dynasty as far back as 867 A.D. (Didn't we switch to C.E. a while back?). Obviously, this allows you to stab more backs, marry off more children, and wage more wars."
